How is Walmart Government subsidized but still considered private? Everyone keeps saying Walmart is a private company, but don't they take taxpayer dollars?

Really genuinely asking, as it doesn't make sense to me. I have looked up commercial law, but I have not found anything that spells this out with my usual searches.

In Alabama, just walking out of a gun shop is not by itself a good indication that someone is packing. In Alabama, the fact that someone exists is a good indicator they are packing.
