Your R rate is the ticket, needs to be below 1 or the game is rigged.

The pathogen will forever be on the loose; the idea that lockdowns are going to stop the pathogen is incorrect; it was only ever about slowing down it's transmission rate.

You have to have a total cure and a complete vaccine, for the pathogen to "not be on the loose" and even in that case; if the pathogen mutates or adapts, it will still be on the loose.

Get used to Corona Virus; it's here to stay, and no -- we can't just be locked down forever, because that's the alternative.

Go the DoH website and look at the ages of people dying here in FL. Over 85% are over 65 yrs old. You decided to reply to a post where I was simply questioning someones claim that the US was at the bottom of the COVID danger list with some tidbits that you claim are well documented, but they really are not.

Sure, there was that transfer of covid patients to old folks homes but you can't quantify how many deaths were attributed to that, and some death certificates have CV on them but you can't say how those are being counted or how many there are. In the end you can't say how much these fudge factors would reduce the death toll reported for the US.

I took the liberty of plugging in 50% and 75% reductions and comparing them, per capita, to other countries to show that even then the US would not be at the bottom of that list.

Maybe I am off in the weeds but you are the one that seemed to show interest in following, although it seems you veered at some point.

Again, this is about Wu Han Flu deaths to infected ratio and that literally Surgeons and Scientists alike are coming from everywhere providing their perspective. That is not the weeds.

The point I was replying to was about the US position on some COVID danger list. Guess you jumped in without looking.

Also, deaths to infected ratio doesn't even show up in the article in the OP. It is about lockdowns being detrimental. Sure the docs are going against the mainstream narrative but the info in OP doesn't say it is because of the deaths to infected ratio.

And, as I said earlier, so what if a few docs go against the grain, it doesn't guarantee a change in the MO. It also doesn't mean they are right, even the doc in the video acknowledges that.

But we will have to take social distancing and masks into consideration, for the time being, if we ever wish to see a return to any semblance of normality.

To be honest though, there is no normal to go back to, dependant on what one considers normal.

Sometimes it's Better for Kids to get Diseases when they are Young , in the Long Run their Immune Systems are the Better for it . Old Folks are a Different Story , they are in the Latter Stages of Dying , and it makes Sense to Quarantine them from those who might be the Carriers of Nasty Bugs . A Thought . .........Hmm...

I don't see that trend taking off with the likes of COVID 19 all the same, or the additional next visit to gran and grandpa's house may well be the last.

The care homes got decimated where i come from Zanti Misfit down to thinking like that.

It makes sense to hospitalize those that require hospitalization, no matter their age, not dump the poor sods back into the care system to infect other OAP and spread the pathogen all over the shop.

You caused more drift than my small observation from 2 days ago.

You also couldn't back up the simple facts you claim to be in the OP with solid numbers. And to top it all off, the doc in the vid in the OP even acknowledges that he may be wrong, although he thinks he is right. That isn't as solid as you are claiming.

What do you think this is going to accomplish? Someone in another thread posted the current rise in cases and someone else pointed out that it matches up with the BLM protests. You want people to get out and protest? Or, maybe they will be smarter and write their representative and get an automated response letter.

I would be a bit interested in seeing each of their reasons and if they can back them up. Just because someone is doctor doesn't mean they can't be wrong. I also wonder how many changed their mind since May and over a hundred thousand deaths.

If anything I am incouraged to only see a few hundred sign the letter. I wonder if some of them are also in the anti mask camp.

Here is a vid on one of the Doctors that has been paraded on ATS as a bastion of truth. It also talks a bit about him injecting bleach into cancer patients for exhorbent amounts of money.
