Well Happy Birthday!

My Bday is on the 19th.

Thanks !

Seems like many members Bday is July. Must be a conspiracy behind !!!

Of course it's a conspiracy! I just haven't figured out how deep it goes. Clearly our minds have been wiped. I'm thinking deep state reptilian stuff that our parents were clearly a part of. It's so obvious, it's been in front of our July birthday faces this whole time. THIS WHOLE TIME!

No not 1971. Could you imagine if we were all 1971? Maybe we were part of some experiment!

It would explain a lot...hmmm

This is my big 40 and my wife actually rented a suite at minor league ballpark nearby to throw a bash. Guess what got cancelled lol.

Ahh damn that blowz.

It certainly does but I am blessed that my family and close friends are safe and healthy (not just COVID but in general). So it's all good, just the usually slight life tap to the nuts.

I always worked on my birthday until my most recent relationship.

Taking the day off when single always left me a bit cold, better off working the day and celebrating with friends in the evening. Save the annual leave for a long holiday.

Managed to save this year with socially distanced drinks outside a mate's place.

See what next year brings

I have asked for my birthday off a couple times because "it's a holiday" and usually I end up regretting most of my birthdays regardless. I have personally realized I should celebrate a little every day just being me, and cramming 364 days worth of self realization into 24 hours is just not going to happen. So if you sprinkle that self care and appreciation of "I deserve to do something" across the whole year you are making the most of your time as opposed to just one day where it all starts and ends. But no matter what you do, it probably costs money so every chance to grind is an opportunity to treat yourself down the road.

I work but I have the option to use my floating holiday. I'm much happier at work than I am at home anyway.
