Wait...didn’t they tell us that the disease would die out once we got to warm weather?

The only reason the virus is in the constant MSM again, is because the riots died out.

Remember that bizarre month last month — where we barely heard about any virus....

It's always been there. Show me one day of news where it wasn't there. Google will let you select a dates. Go for it. Name a day. Or a week.

It's bigger in the news now perhaps, because all of the numbers are going up. Particularly in places like Florida. Dramatically so. And it's been doing that since the middle of June. Perhaps you weren't paying attention.

No, I don't.

Here's hoping they don't jump back into their attempted race war when this round of pandemic panic fizzles out as the first round did...

But who the hell knows at this point? October could well see rumors of Biblical plagues, aliens, or even killer astroids the way 2020 has progressed thus far.

Yep
It will strangely disappear in November....

Agreed. It’s been a year of incessant compounding BS.

Even Werner Von Braun’s fake alien invasion, seems plausible at this point.

Where are the trumpets?

And those are the lucky ones. I 100% agree with you that there will be a large percentage of people that will have mild flu symptoms and be fine. But the problem with that is that it doesn't paint the entire picture. It doesn't include the larger percentage of people that will be hospitalized because of the disease. It also doesn't account for the percentage of people that will have some sort of diminished lung capacity lasting months. It doesn't account for the percentage of people that will have heart issues. And it doesn't account for the percentage of people that will have cognitive issues because of the disease. I've seen a number that is close to 50% that people that get covid will have lasting effects from the disease that may last months or longer. I've seen someone post that their child got it early and is still having issues some 100 days after getting sick.

If we want to get over this we need to adopt what they did in Japan that has given them low numbers. Everyone needs to wear a mask no exceptions.

Yea.. except Qanon has failed and trump has continued the wars in the ME which is definitely not anti-deepstate.

That's typical politics thpugh. Never let an opportunity go to waste.

Trump has failed to do anything that is truely against the establishment. It's all left vs right fighting. Which makes me believe that this is all a distraction to get the left and right hating each other while setting up a fake hero for conspiracy theorists with Qanon.

Apparently the weather isn't affecting the virus here in Florida. We had 15K new cases yesterday.

I don't think we should be shutting down society. I think that with proper precautions ie: masks, hand washing and social distancing. We can limit the spread. But even with precautions you can still test positive. I just saw that Dave Aronberg State Attorney for Palm Beach got it.

The initial shutdown worked like gangbusters. The premature opening, along with people ignoring the voluntary things like masks, hand washing, and social distancing are probably what led to the spike.

Masks, hand washing, and social distancing are fine when things are somewhat under control. Things aren't.

What's your point? Do those deaths not matter?

I had to go make the line and wait for 6 hours at the Hard Rock because someone in my wife's office tested positive. I still don't have my results back after more than a week. My wife luckily tested negative.

It's like what happened during the Spanish Flu. People thought that this was over and they had to endure a second wave of cases were more people died.

It's going to get to the point where another shutdown is inevitable.

Not everywhere. Florida, seems likely.

I did.

A group of Miami-area medical experts joined Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez on a Zoom news conference Monday morning and made clear that South Florida is in a dire position when it comes to the spread of COVID-19.

“Miami is now the epicenter for the virus,” said Lilian M. Abbo, M.D., an infectious diseases specialist at the University of Miami Health System and the Chief of Infection Prevention for Jackson Health System. “What we were seeing in Wuhan [China] five months ago, we’re now seeing here.”
