Hollywood's White Purge

The punch line is it will be filmed in Canada or some other country.

F- Hollywood.

Film and television is nothing more than propaganda with hardly believable plots.

Plots like a evil whitey uses a bioweapon to kill minorities which was the plot of the latest 'FBI' series. I think it was.

Yeah! Now they need one where a minority tries to kill everyone to keep the cracker incels happy.

Maybe like The Kingsmen.

Strange, we’ve been watching a Netflix series where the Nazis won the war and the communists are part of the resistance. In one of the last episodes, the white guy gets called into the office of his boss who has been replaced by a black guy who tells him he has to train his replacement. Eerily this series done in 2018 is like a preview of what is happening today with Antifa, right down to the toppling of statues. It was all totally planned from the start.

It’s showBUSINESS!

The execs aren’t making this white cull because they think it’s right (what’s ever right about replacing one form of discrimination with another).

They’re doing it to create a new market - a new money spinner - a new USP. Just like when one studio makes a movie about Pirates, or Robin Hood, another studio jumps on the band wagon thinking that way more profit lies.

They don’t want to be left out when a season of new movies tapping into this zeitgeist tsunamis on to our screens boasting their BLM credentials. But as soon as that cow is milked dry, they’ll forget about BLM and rehire the freelancers that have experience in delivering good stories (until the next zeitgeist/USP comes along).

This is a #ty situation for those experienced freelancers that’ve worked their lives to get where they are, seeing folk supersede them with little effort on the basis of colour. If they can’t hold out for the cash cow zeitgeists to pass (metoo, LGBTQASSCRACK and now BLM, then culture will be that much poorer when our entertainments continue to be delivered by a large number folk who got those jobs not through talent or experience.

I agree with this, we have to accept what humans are capable of.. I believe this is why history is really taught.
These atrocities we all condemn but in reality is part of being human. Though I must assert that balance HAS to play its place. Of course freedom of speech is just a scratch in the surface here.. I'm talking about the much deeper sins of the human kind, we have to accept but we have to draw boundaries.

They are killing themselves , I watched a few Russian entertainment programs on Netflix. "Better than us" and the "Sniffer" I was blown away by the creative content. They had better watch out if they do them without subtitles.

I am just going to sit back and read my books. I will keep an eye out to see how this all works out for them. Their feminist BS eff'ed up Star Wars so bad it may never rebound. I can't imagine this move will be much different.

I don't see it as a fad myself. It's a small part of an anti-American maxist movement with ties to China and Russia. Some businesses are no doubt treating it as a fad, while others are motivated by globalist interests, and others are intimidated into it. But it's bigger than just a fad in business interests.

Could well be true, but I think any such foreign state, or neo-Marxist actors are not creating the problems and issues, they’re merely exploiting them. Exploiting weaknesses implicit in a capitalist society that rewards the hoarding of wealth with high privilege and tax exemption in the form of exploitable loopholes if you can afford a good accountant.

The subsequent lack of equity between the classes means that class infighting between races, genders, religions etc for their limited recourses (Jobs, housing and a modicum of status) is inevitable and allowed - even endorsed - by the wealthy and powerful. It obeys the divide and conquer rule: If the ‘barbarians‘ are fighting amongst themselves, then they’re too occupied to be at the gates of the elite.

But whoever or why ever these things happen, many a time they begin, then some time later they end with token change and before long things revert almost to the way they were. Those causing unhappiness through their own greed and venality will resume that behaviour as soon as possible and those protesting over greed and venality will themselves become greedy and venal if their protesting provide them with the privilege to do so. In this way it manifests as a cyclic phenomena, or ‘fad’.

It’s the human condition that causes all societies of all political or philosophical creeds to keep making the same mistakes. No one’s exempt!

That’s my humble reading and of course I’m not exempt either to corruption, or the hubris to think I’ve worked it all out. So, I’m sorry to prattle on with conclusions that I’m sure you and many others have already come to, or indeed perhaps superseded with more nuanced iterations. But isn’t it good to articulate now and then, if just to remind oneself?

Scary thought: perhaps this isn't about race at all.
It's about destroying an industry that will soon be useless.
an industry that needs customers.

Thanks for your input. You certainly are not wrong. It's like Sauron in "The Lord Of The Rings" using weakness that already exists in human hearts to corrupt them under his influence. I would argue this is where spirituality comes into play. If you are either given to God or are of your soul/spiritual being, you can step away from it with eyes wide open, unaffected from its influence. This is partly why communism will target religion, although spirituality exists outside actual religious institutions. Some people, like myself, are spiritual by nature. Arguably, we all are.

Other than the last couple of quarters, Disney's Earnings Per Share has been steadily climbing for several years. The Marvel movies are immensely popular, and Star Wars fans will likely never be satisfied.

I've been a Star Wars fan since I first became aware at age 5 or 6 with grainy tapes of New Hope and Empire before seeing my first in theatre movie ever ROTJ. When the first of new installment came out my friends and I made each a major event, watching the original trilogy over the course of the day and going to the first midnight showing.

None of the newer 6 could possibly capture the magic of the original 3, but we enjoyed them nonetheless, flaws and all. We could have focused on complaints, but instead enjoyed it for what it is, realizing nothing they could have done could reach the pedestal we've all placed 4-5-6 on.

The Marvel movies - I couldn't imagine a functioning movie doing anymore justice to the Infinity Gauntlet/ Infinity War arc than what Marvel did. I still don't understand what some see as it all being "ruined." Enjoyable movies, massive money-makers, not to mention, many of my comics have skyrocketed in value thanks to newfound prominence and interest among a wider population.

I don't know, the new black Batgirl is hot. Way better looking that the lesbian one that actually quit on her own. I may actually watch an entire episode now.

Will the writing/narrative actually improve?

As a guy who actually collected the original Infinity Gauntlet series and aftermath, I have to disagree.

I understand that they had to consolidate some storylines, and that the typical consumer wouldn't know the decades of background for the characters, but there were glaring issues that didn't need to be approached in the first place.

1) Thanos wasn't a malthusian zealot. He worshiped the personification of Death. Death thought it was a cosmic imbalance that more sentients were alive in the universe than there dead souls. Thanos thought he could impress Death by killing more of them.

This is why Thanos is called the 'Mad Titan' in the Marvel Universe. He's nuts. But the MCU version is a rational, well-thought out and philosophical being. They completely skip over the idea that Thanos could have created more resources, or changed universal physics to make resources more sustainable, or halved universal reproduction rates... etc.

Nope. Kill'm. FABULOUS COSMIC POWERS, itty bitty thought process.

2) They completely dropped the Adam Warlock plot. He wasn't necessary per say, but they dropped the idea of a foil to Thanos who was out-thinking the Titan. You couldn't fight Thanos physically with the gauntlet, people had to think 5 steps ahead. It could be argued that was what Dr. Strange did, but it was very weak compared to what Warlock did in the story.

3) Nebula was a critical factor in the original series, she took advantage of Thanos' hubris. Totally missed opportunity.

4) The last-minute addition of Captain Marvel was groan-worthy, compounded by the femme force scene at the end. The character just mowed through a battle cruiser like it was balsa wood, but we'll give her an estrogen-only escort! I can't know if your movie theatre didn't groan at that scene, but here in Missouri even the women in the audience were throwing popcorn at the screen.

5) A three hour finale movie with a ten-minute slow down grief counseling session to prove how woke the director was...

6) A rat saved the universe.

7) EDIT: Oh yeah. Time traveler Cap. Who could have cleaned up so many problems before they started. Never mind Hydra infiltrating the US government and what they did to Bucky, I need to dance with Peggy.

Infinity War was pretty good. Endgame was a total let down after Part I.

Their movies for this year have literally been on hold because of the virus. The last SW film under-performed (for what they were expecting.) SW merchandise has been a disaster; toys etc. for the old films still sell but stuff from the prequels and sequels are not selling at all.

boundingintocomics.com...

There was also low attendance for Disneyland and hardly any interest in the Star Wars portion themed on the sequel films called Galaxy's Edge. Here's an article, though Disney and Leftist media tend to downplay negativity around Disney's finances etc. There were TONS of pictures shared in 2019 on the virtually empty Disneyland.

www.ocregister.com...

You're free to enjoy whatever you enjoy. To each their own.

I never watched many of the Marvel movies myself but they were of course highly successful and I heard nothing but good things...for a while. Then the comics and movies became Woke and I stopped hearing good things, just bad things (about the possible direction they may be taking.) The last Spider-man movie did very well. If they value character and storytelling over politics they should be fine with that franchise. I just don't see that happening. I judge things by facts and patterns. There is a pattern of Disney going Woke and then doubling down on it when it fails, rather than changing course. Would love to be wrong but I have personally have no interest in Disney on a creative level anymore and no faith in their future success.
