Should have bought stock in Goya they are going to do well in the coming months, company supports people in need and folks want to boycott just because the ceo likes the president.

Regular folks will support the company..

Personally I am not a big fan of Goya and I certainly wont rush out to buy stuff, but boycott gtfo.

Do we think this has to do with the fact that there’s record unemployment in the United States right now?" she responded. "The fact that people are at a level of economic desperation that we have not seen since the Great Recession?"

"Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren't paying their rent and are scared to pay their rent and so they go out, and they need to feed their child and they don't have money," Ocasio-Cortez continued, "so they feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry.”

These words coming from someone that chased away how many thousands of jobs in her district? Who is now trying to hurt thousands of employed minority’s she says she cares so much for?

WTF is wrong with this psycho? Better yet, what’s wrong with the people that elected her?

Hypocrisy much AOC?

Goya sounds like a slur against Jews.

Seems like a decent company. Especially in a world where most food companies would rather destroy food than give it to the poor and needy.

Goya is a Hispanic surname, and it doesn't mean anything bad. I think the name of the company was chosen as remembrance of Francisco Goya, the most famous painter from Spain.

Goya is a very well known company that the large majority of latin people, at least in South Florida, enjoy mostly Goya foods. In Spain it is also a very well known company.

It was created in 1936 in Manhatan, but exists in many latin countries, including Spain.

According to who?

Boycotts work. An overnight splurge of Right Winger’s buying foodstuff that will probably end up in the trash — is not going to save Goya.

Goya is too popular in the Hispanic-American community for this boycott to work. There's no need for right-wingers to save it; it will do just fine by itself in the long run with its regular customer base.

Hispanic people won't boycott a company they like so much just because a politician told them it was wrong for the CEO to say something in support of a sitting U.S. President.

It would be equally idiotic for a politician who doesn't like socialist programs to have demanded a boycott against a company whose CEO might have supported Bernie. I mean, the politician is free to talk boycott, but people aren't as reactionary as these types of politicians want them to be for those boycotts to have any long-lasting effect.

When I had my restaurants Goya was all that the Latino/Mexican kitchen staff would use for their own meals. Goya is ingrained into the culture, it isn't going anywhere. Hell, even this bad hombre gringo uses Goya.

Hopefully it won't have legs.

I'm certainly no Trump supporter, but if we become such a reactionary country that we actually have a serious boycott against a company just because the CEO spoke in support of a sitting President, then we are in trouble.

I don't care if the person calling for the boycott is someone who doesn't like Trump, or if it was someone who didn't like a CEO supporting Obama, or Clinton, or Bush, or any president. If the country begins to boycott a company simply for a CEO speaking in favor of a President, then I call that unnecessarily reactionary.

People should feel free to support a candidate without fear of retribution against them. And a boycott is retribution.

We just need to use their own bs tricks against them.

When they complain about anything, we complain about their complaining and act like they do. In the end, eventually something has to give
