Maybe ATS can save me once again. My LG (LG K20 Plus) phone is still working even if the screen is broke. I can use it for phone calls through the car bluetooth. The screen doesn't respond and is locked.

I downloaded Vysor but it is not detecting it. Followed all Vysor's troubleshooting but still can't detect it. I connected via USB to the PC but can't get in since is blocked.

It doesn't have a memory card. I wish I could rescue my photos in the phone. MAYDAY ATS !!!

If the photos are worth it, take it to a phone shop.
Chances are the screen is toast, it'll cost maybe 150 bucks to replace.

You'll want to get some sort of automatic backup going before it happens again.
Says the guy who doesn't do that.
I think I broke 6 phones last year, I'm used to this game...

A screen replacement kit goes for $30 on amazon.
If you don’t want to try there are phone repair shops all over the place.

Good idea. I think I'll get the kit and have fun opening the phone but first I'll get a new phone tomorrow, I don't trust my big fat fingers working with small components.

I normally use my phones until they die. Never gonna learn.

If you just want the data, it's not too hard to connect a new screen without actually installing it.
Won't be pocket worthy but it will get your data back.
Sometimes you can throw it in a case at that point and use it until it gets more broken.

Screen replacement is very tough for a novice. You need a heat gun to remove and uv glue to reinstall. Fortunately that replacement you are looking at is the screen and digitizer. You can handle this, sir. Just make sure you buy the whole enchilada.

there are kits that are just the screen, then others that has the electronics behind the screen. Do yourself a favor, buy them already attached. trying to CAREFULLY remove the touch under the screen, and reattach it, is not worth the hassle and frustration. if its already attached, all you have to do is pull a plug to disconnect, plug it in, set it in, screw it in. Will save you ALOT of frustration, time, and energy.

Do you have a Batteries + store near you? They replaced my shattered screen for $59.

I found my daughters old phone, which happens to be the same model. So I switched the screens with my phone. Guess what..., now my daughter's phone came back to life and mine is still dead.

That made me think the problem wasn't the screen. I think I lost the data forever but just need a new sim card for my daughter's phone and I'd save money.

Bummer.

Let me know if you find a good way to preserve data without submitting to the cloud in the future. I don't want every company with a buck to spare having all of my data, but every year it gets harder...

Put it in a tub of dry rice, for 24 hours...

...not cooked rice... that won't help at all.

The Rice works in drying out moisture not fixing a screen: or have I missed something?

Bite the bullet and take it to a repair shop. Have them test a screen on there to see if it will work.

Hopefully it will.

Just commit a major crime with the phone on your person and have the FBI pull the data off for you pro gratis.
