I'm delighted that you are titilated by the headlines that are designed to satisfy Trump's minions. Why bother with the big picture? Meanwhile, have a great July 4th, and stay safe! Don't for get your mask! (see, full circle back to the OP)

Markets still doing well. Still getting my tax cut. I don't care what he does as long as those don't change. I would vote for Biden if he promised me a larger tax cut but he already said he's raising them so he lost my vote on that statement alone.

Translation is you would vote for whoever tells you what you want to hear.

I can make it crystal clear. I vote for whoever takes less of the money I earned. Every single time. He said he would and did. My tax rate went down. When you earn some real income you might get it. Imagine getting your bonus taxed 26% for hard ass stress induced labor, long hours being in charge of hundreds of people year after year. Your ass is on the line everyday. I never had time to worry about issues. My only issue was getting the job done yet I get the living crap taxed out of me. That's not even counting insane property taxes and other city taxes. One year my water went up 30%. Just because of my zipcode. Total fvcking bs.

This is the kind of anti America, traitorous, Faustian BS which is precisely why the country has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Selling the soul of your country for any semblance of tax cut regardless of everything else which goes along with it.

He's played you like another one of his cheap hookers. Nothing to see here; baaaaaa.

Have a beer for me!

Your healthcare system is OK at best, lots of Canadians come to the states for healthcare....

BTW NW beer is also better than Canadian beer...just saying.

Oh and there is no good beer made by the US other than some crafts at micro breweries. All your mainstream beers are utterly God awful.

Budweiser is actually worse than foster, which seems almost impossible.

Fosters is horrible, it's close to cat piss, at least what I imagine cat piss to taste like.

Very true... there are 350 breweries around me and about 5000 different beer all within a short drive distance. Notice how I said NW beer? So "some" is not really a good number... lol

Get surgery tomorrow or wait 6 months... hmmm tough choice. BTW I had a condition a few years back that cost 300k, and my cost was ZERO!! You Canadians get some American insurance and you are good too.

I ended up having brain surgery, and my doctor said well we can operate and I said OK...This was a Tuesday and he said is
Thursday OK...lol

Let me know how long that wait line is in Canada... hence why they come to America.

I'd be more inclined to believe that hearing it from a Canadian.

Here in Australia you can sometimes wait a while for elective surgery but if it can't wait like something life threatening, so something like brain surgery you would be under the knife just as fast here.

Same deal here in the Great Pink North. I know a LOT of people, and I have never met ONE who went to the US for treatment. It is not a perfect system, but I have never met any Canadian who would wish to swap it for the American one. Pretty much anything you find slamming the Canada Health Act is going to ooze back to the Fraser Institute, a 'right wing think tank' devoted to privatising things like our health care system. For personal profit. Partially funded by the Kochs.
Bottom line? My prostate cancer was cured for $32 out of pocket. That was for parking at the oncology centre. No co-pay. No deductible. My choice of doctor.
And so as not to overburden that system...I wear a mask when I go to the store.

Oh, and my treatment was initiated within a couple of weeks. Had it been urgent, it would have been quicker.

That, IMHO is exactly how he saw himself,
in an eye mask...not as he was really attired in something completely different, and in truth, the only reason I posted this thread, to point out his really childish daftness as well as his childish chagrin in having to put the face mask on.

Despite that, some daft burgers need to reply to me with political overtones, of which frankly I couldn't give a toss about...it's nothing to do with politics...just the man.

Well...Google "wait times in Canada medical system"

If my kid needs to see a dermatologist he talks to his doctor that gives a referral then within a week or less he sees a dermatologist for 30 buck co-pay, then his meds are about 10 buck co-pay. Pretty damn quick and pretty damn cheap for me, so I wouldn't say its the best, but I kind of laugh when foreigners say how good their socialized system is and how crappy America's is in comparison.

Social medicine also works better when you have a small population where the majority is part the healthy working class side. The population of New Zealand would put you all as the 25th most populated state, so smaller healthy working class makes it work well, but then one just needs to look a France to see or even worst Greece to see how fragile that socialized system can be and how it doesn't take very much to bankrupt it even with high taxes being paid by the working class in the private sector when that working class doesn't stay the huge majority to pay for it all.

Specialist physicians surveyed report in a median waiting time of 20.9 weeks between referral from a general practitioner and receipt of treatment—longer than the wait of 19.8 weeks reported in 2018.

It begins, “Waiting for treatment has become a defining characteristic of Canadian health care,” and reports that the median wait for treatment across all provinces and some 12 medical specialties is now 19.8 weeks. That's down slightly from the 2017 median wait of 21.2 weeks, but don't celebrate just yet.

I have herd that wait time for something like hip replacement, cataracts type surgeries can be extremely long...extremely.
