ppl say the f-14 would kick a migs ass but they tomcat never had the dog fight it was made for so i don't think we'll ever know how good it actual was

Yeah and.. BOEING.. It is a McDonnell Douglas.. BOEING has nothing to do with it.. it is like Mig would buy Sukhoi and named SU-27 as MIG-27 (there is allready a real MIG-27.. but youll get the point..)
And C-5 first flew in 1968 the C-17 in 1991..

These are aircract of differend generations..

But this is matter of oppinion.. "Your favorite plane.."

I'll stick with the old school SR-71.
Yes, while we have fater plane now, that baby hit Mack 3.2+ in the 1960's!.

If you want to count all aircraft, the space shuttle's kind of cool. It can go into space and all.

The problem is F-14 was not made for DOGFIGHT but rather a platform for long range Phoenix missiles.

Well, the sexiest just has to be the Sukhoi "Flanker" series!
But my personal favourite has always been the old English Electric/BAC Lightning
