The choices are lousy... what if you're a B-52 or AC-130 gunship type of guy?

A-10 all the way...
...not the quickest, not the sleekest, not the most heavily armed, not the most nimblest...but theres something about the A-10 I love - its only job
is to wander around and lay down HUGE amounts of smack...
...the A-10 is like some solid brutal old gaurd-dog that just lays around sunning itself on the porch, but when called to action calmly stands up and
tears any intruder to shreds before slumping back down for a well earned rest...

Mi-24 Hind D
This choppa is THE MUTTS
NATO never came close to this ...
sure the chinook could carry more, the Apache had more ass-kicking capability. but this beast is the helicopter equivelant of an M2 Bradley crossed
with an M1 Abrams
rockets, machine gun, AT missles...(homer simpson style drooling )

The best (THE RAF ONE), or the royal Navy one, or that shameless rip off known as the AV8B (THE AMERICAN ONE)?

New ! The JANES Recognition Guide 1999 says : last version is the C-130 U, equipped with better command capabilities. Now all weapons can aim separate
targets. Weapons are:
- one 105 mm howitzer
- one 40 mm bofors
- two GAU-12C 25mm machine guns
- Hellfire missiles on wing pylons

McDonnell Douglas ripped it off (After all why would the mighty USA by from us?). The US Marines use it - badly.
(just joking)
Seen True Lies? Arnie schwarzenegger "borrows" one from the US marines

They did not really rip it off, it was a joint operation. The USMC Harrier is the best version.
