Yeah the shadow was the giveaway, not the fact that it is an identical ufo from a 1986 movie......................

I am not saying it is fake or that it is CGI or anything like that but the image does not give a good impression of depth and was likely on a mobile phone, it look's kind of like a helium balloon to me but who knows maybe, just maybe it was something truly unexplained.

Ahh just before mine look's like someone has come up with a probably accurate answer though to be fair it does not look much like the Disney movie craft only superficially.

That said what do you think inspired the craft in that movie - other than the limitations of early CGI that is.

This could be proof that it is in fact a UFO.
No self respecting hoaxer would just forget to add shadows.

UFO's on the other hand could have developed shadow suppression/light bending technology.

If I were a ufo, I would deliberately look like bad hoax.

Any possible relation to the VERY interesting 'spiral cloud' seen from Argentina on 22nd June 2020,   at about 11:30 PM (local) or 02:30 AM (UTC) on June 23. It was reported as an OVNI but more likely was a Chinese satellite launch.

I translated it for you:

On 22nd June, just before midnight, a UFO was observed in the skies above San Juan for approx. an hour. The information regarding the sighting was released by the "Guardians of Cuyano sky" group, who recorded the sighting from Pocito. The group also indicated that the object could also be seen in plain sight from Caucete.

"The phenomena could be observed to the South-West at around 260 degrees, at an elevation of 35 degrees, moving South-West to North" the group said on their Facebook page. The group also put two videos of the observation on the same page.

The group also affirmed that they "could not find any evidence of a satellite pass or any object in the area at the time of the sighting" and as such were unable to identify what the light was nor where it came from.

As a result the team is continuing to investigate the sighting.

Yet, when we do get something, its immediately debunked and well, that's that.

they are debunked for a reason. if only someone would post something non-debunkable, i personally would gladly welcome it.

Something being "non-debunkable" would be a totally subjective viewpoint, as we can see, because a 100% consensus opinion is nigh on impossible. It is often commented that so-called 'believers' bear the onus of proving something to be alien or non-terrestrial, which is true...but any debunker worth their salt will have a good argument to posit and will not hold back in making it known.

Single statements of "CGI" or "Fake" are just as pointless as stating "UFO" or "Aliens".

Thanks, I happened to be working on a report of why other space launches from East Asia have created cloud and spiral UFOs over southern South America for decades, message me your email and I'll send you my draft report.
