Indeed. So much work left undone.

Opinion - Many here have opined about politics, particularly American politics, having ruined ATS, that the "old ATS" of conspiracies, UFO's and Paranormal was eclipsed by politics. And, while I have often stated I believe politics is the 'new' conspiracy, I don't believe politics was the cause of the downfall these members saw. I think it was something else.

I've been here on ATS a little over 7 years, and what I've observed in that time is a steady increase in the number of members who simply want to argue about something, anything. It doesn't matter if it's red, blue or any other color, some just want to stir the pot, to whip up people's anger...seemingly just for the sake of doing it. Whataboutism seems to be one of the principal things which make political threads get nasty, and some do it over and over again. The subject will be about one thing, and someone will crap all over that thread with whataboutism of someone or something else unrelated. It derails threads because it self-perpetuates exponentially and it infuriates people. And it seems some people just cannot help themselves from doing it. It's like they just cannot allow a different opinion to exist, regardless if they have a rebuttal or not, they just change the subject to something they want to talk about.

I don't know, just my take.

Well, it's true. Sweet dog, terrible breath.

I liked the thread when some douche nozzle really had it out for DB. He was going to expose him. Everyone was in there blasting the guy. Even people who usually dont get along with DB. It stayed up for a while before it was 404ed. Fun times.

The "trying to get banned" threads are always comical as well.
