Around 300 people are currently on the scene at protests being held in Portland, Oregon as barricades are erected and an autonomous zone is declared.

Crowds of protesters are climbing buildings, pointing lasers, and chanting “if we don’t get no justice, you don’t get no peace” at Mayor Ted Wheeler’s residence in Portland, Oregon, according to Portland Tribune Journalist Sergio Olmos.

“Left-wing protesters” have been reportedly declaring the neighborhood of Mayor Wheeler, near the 2020 block of Southwest Jackson Street in Portland “an autonomous zone.”

Managing Editor of Human Events Ian Miles Cheong said on Twitter, “Antifa in Portland has occupied the neighborhood where Mayor Ted Wheeler lives and have declared it an autonomous zone. They’ve set up barricades and police are choosing not to respond.”

heavy.com...

Apparently, the Mayor has agreed to cut an additional $15M from the Portland Police Dept...in an attempt to appease the protestors and to have them stop directing lasers into his condo windows.

Naturally, protestors did not feel that was enough.

Like any cancer...this one is beginning to metastasize.
That the second ANTIFA-led Autonomous Zone would spread to Portlandia...is no surprise.

Portland and Seattle are wacky neighbors...and very similar.

Portland police (what's left of them)...are attempting to prevent this from taking hold.

I wondered how long it would take Louis Marquez to feel slighted his Portland Redshirts weren't getting enough attention.

Saw they were making a few arrests, but considering it's Portland most likely the politicos will pander to the terrorists.

2 things to note;

1. The protesters want 50 million cut for the police
2. The Portland police broke up the protest. Apparently Mayor Poo-Potty-Pants wasn't getting enough nappy time.

Don't know much about this mayor.
Do you think he'll cave to the demands for the $50M cut?

He would, but the City Council nixed the idea.

Portland and Salem are blue islands surrounded by a sea of red.

Let the Democrat run cities, who facilitate this nonsense, crash and burn. The people elected these azzhat mayors. You reap what you sow.

I hope Trump doesn't get involved. That way, we can all sit back and watch the negative consequences for allowing these cities to become Marxist/anarchist sanctuaries.

All it will take is another Lanza shooting up a school, and they'll be BEGGING for cops to go 'save' the children.

Seattle,Washington,Portland,Oregon, can go to hell.

Agreed.
These zones should be considered as something akin to zoos.

But journalists keep telling us these "autonomous zones" are as peaceful as farmers markets. Their "residents" say they can be an example for others even though everyone steals from each other, threaten to kill people who they don't want in their area, etc.

Democratic mayors like that of Seattle says "there is no threat to the public" even though there is blatant lawlessness and violence. Response time for first responders has tripled and violent crime has gone significantly up in places like Seattle according to the public servants.

Cut all services water, electricity, fire trucks, emergency, and once you go in you will need a work visa to exit.

I'll be in Portland next week.

Don't know what to pack.

My bricks of course, but should I go with the mid-night blue spray paint or something less formal and more festive?

I'm thinking Day-Glo Orange.

Oh they returned?

That article says the cops broke it up early this morning.

But if ANTIFA showed back up, then I get ya.

Packing bricks will put your luggage over the weight limit...and leaves less room for your Jimmy Choos.
Fortunately, pallets of bricks will be conveniently delivered to the streets by ANTIFA.
