Sad news but at age 103 not unexpected.

Dame Vera Lynn was the voice for the troops during the dark days of WW II. She traveled to all Theatres Of War during that time. A British National Treasure.

Thank you sweetheart for all that you did for Britain's moral during WW II.

R.I.P.

She will be dearly missed, the end of an age and the end of the greatest generation of our nation.

She meant and still mean's to those that are old enough to remember those dark day's when England was the lone champion of Freedom in the world while the US was still neutral how she inspired troop's, so too oddly did the almost as legendary Marena Dietrich whose Lilly Marlene became a song sung by soldiers from all sides but whom had fled to the US since she hated the NAZI's.

But it will always be Vera Lynn that will remain the most beloved singer among the elderly British.

Still let's not forget other great's including one of the most mysterious disappearances of the war and whom meant as much to the American's as Very Lynn did to the British, Glen Miller.

If there is any justice they will be together on the other side though there styles were very different.

One of Very Lynn's most popular song's that meant so very much to the young boy's that were serving abroad in those dark day's - and one of the gentlest war time song's that still brings tears to the eye's of many born long after the war, almost as if they remember something deep in there own soul's.

Already added above, the other thing is just how gentle her music was and how soothing.
IF these do not show then here is the youtube channel.
