There was a sighting extremely similar to this one in the Paso Robles area just like a week ago - the 'green' tint and long flight/sight time.

ET alien fireball foo fighter starships...possibly don't display fiery tails in our atmosphere (unless it's out of control).

Of course...if a meteor or space debris is coming directly towards the observer, he or she won't be able to see a fiery tail either.
