If you were to watch the videos of what happened the black man started fighting the police officer and took his taser. In another camera you can see the black person running and turned and fired the taser at the cop. As the black criminal was aiming and shot the taser the officer shot him...

If you watch the 5th video in the following link you can see what actually happened.

www.fox5atlanta.com...

That is self defense. Police officers are legally allowed to shoot at someone when they think their lives, or someone else's, is at risk. If the black criminal had hit the police officer, the police officer would have dropped to the ground and would have released his firearm, at which time the black criminal could have taken his gun and killed the officer and the other officer that was behind the first officer.

The officer defended himself, and the former Atlanta police chief whom is probably left-winger decided to politicize this...

Yes, it's common rhetoric for fans of authoritarian police states to talk about cleansing.

Blood has already been shed. For decades.

The suspect was running away. They had just had a hands on tussle with him.

I'm not saying it was the typical execution style BS.

Just really poor judgement at the present time.

IN my opinion.

If you think someone is pointing a gun at you, if the person is moving away from you you'd be fine with it?

Of course not, and you knew that. Stop being ridiculous.

No. I'll speak as I like within the boundaries of T&C, however, bickering with you is not that.

2nd.

They set fire to a gas station next to the Wendys... What could happen if the under ground gas tanks catch fire?

That actually doesn't happen. That only happens in the movies. In real life, the pressure from the tanks keeps the fire from making its way down there. Plus there are valves that are supposed to slam shut in case of a fire. They could malfunction but it's still extraordinarily unlikely for the fire to reach the tanks.

What if some idiot thinks they can evaserbate the situation and turn the pump on and discharges gas all over the place?

Sadly, yes, once again, the left is trying to exploit a dead black man for votes.

Disgusting.

I'm not a trained law enforcement official making life-and-death decisions in crisis situations on a daily basis.

And, unless I've missed something, neither are you.

It's not ridiculous to state the obvious, that this particular time, in Atlanta Georgia, is not the best time for another police shooting of a Black man.

If you don't agree, you don't agree.

I genuinely think we can achieve it without bloodshed, but we have to identify the organizations that are blatantly pushing for violence.. and funding it.

Specific information channels are a big one:
Jack Dorsey on twitter made quite a post(tweet?). The media is certainly complicit. Tackle the issues of social media platforms and media/news and thats a huge hit to the system that wants violence and destabilization.

I wouldnt say that the issue with the taser is that its non/less-lethal.. but rather that it incapacitates.

Just zapping the cop wouldnt be the issue, it would be what could happen afterwards that would drive their decisions. Given the past few weeks, there would definitely be grounds for the cop fearing for their life in such circumstances.

In that case you'll have a bigger fire, but it still won't reach the tanks. In fact, that'll make it even less likely that the fire can reach the tanks because you've got an outward flow that the fire would have to overcome.

How authoritarian ... I'd like a society where the knee jerk reaction to someone who disagrees with you isn't to immediately jam your fingers in your ears, scream REEEEEE, and either set the nearest small business alight and/or demand that person be fired/silenced/violently attacked or all three.

Society is sick.

Exploit a dead Black man for votes? That's a ludicrous exaggeration. Who's voting tonight?

We're discussing what's going on, and what's going on is another Black death by cop.

Justified or not, it's stupid and unnecessary.

I would not want to be a cop at all right now. You can't do your job any way it's sliced or diced.

There’s sheer valves under the pumps but they only close if a pump is hit or shaken, not in case of fire and tanks are not pressured, they’re actually vented. If someone popped the fill tube cap it can easily blow. Spent a lot of years as a petroleum tech.

Ironic how you don't get angry about the fact that the northern African Muslim countries for decades, even before black slaves were taken to America, attacked merchant and passenger ships going from Europe to the Americas and from the Americas to Europe, killing those whom resisted and taking prisoners to be sold as slaves for far longer than slavery existed in the U.S. or even in Europe...

Ironic how you don't get angry at the FACT that Africa, and Middle Eastern Muslim countries had been taking for hundreds of years prisoners as slaves, INCLUDING BLACKS and people of other races, and made people in countries they conquered either pay the high non-Muslim taxes, or were forcefully converted...

Ironic how you don't get angry to the FACT that to this day slavery continues to exist in several African and Muslim countries...

Keep your lies and your made up rhetoric to yourself. The only thing you care about is using any excuse to turn this country into a socialist dictatorship...

Perhaps you've forgotten what the word authoritarian means? You're the one praising the actions of a government official that just killed someone, not me.

And my goodness, what a string of nonsense ... my argument is simple: this was a stupid move on the part of the cops.

I didn't call for anyone to be fired. Do you have the ability to discuss a matter honestly and reasonably?

I don't think "Is this politically expedient in my city at this time" is a good thing for police officers to have to consider in the middle of a life or death situation. If you do, then yes you're being ridiculous.

And you're not stating the obvious. You're oversimplifying like this was a movie scene playing out. It wasn't.

Now I'm gonna roll out before you cry to the mods and I get in trouble for criticizing you again. They seem to be rather overprotective of you guys lately since there's been a lot of left wingers whining about how lopsided they think the forum is.

Of course ignore the fact that the CRIMINAL attacked the cops, took the taser of one cop and as he was running he turned and shot at the first police officer...

Stop lying your arse off as you keep trying to incite violence and a race war...
