I got an email from the Joe Biden Campaign stating that because their analysis showed that I was an undecided voter they would like me to take a survey to help the Campaign fine-tune their message toward undecided voters. I was curious what they would ask so I took the survey.

Here are the questions; what do you think would best resonate with undecided voters?

Which of the following statements do you think will be most effective in convincing undecided voters to vote Donald Trump out of the White House? (Check all that apply.)

1) Donald Trump is attacking your health care coverage with his relentless attempts to sabotage the Affordable Care Act – and he said repealing it would be his first priority if reelected.

2) With every lie, excuse and Twitter temper tantrum, Donald Trump has proven himself to be the most unfit president to ever lead our country.

3) Donald Trump could get the opportunity to appoint at least two more ultraconservative justices to the Supreme Court like Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh if reelected.

4) Donald Trump has bowed to the deadly agenda of the NRA despite the mass shootings that continue to devastate families and communities across the country.

5) Donald Trump has forfeited America's leadership in the urgent fight to combat climate change.

My initial opinion was that:

first; this wasn't a survey, but rather a campaign pitch. So right off the bat the Joe Biden campaign was lying to me the "undecided" voter. Not a good start.

Second; the Biden campaign was being very negative in their phraseology. I can believe this type of rhetoric works very well with the extremists and loyalists in his support base; but I don't think it could possibly resonate with undecided voters.

If this is the type of outreach the Biden campaign is conducted for undecided votes they may be in worse shape than I thought.

It's more clear than ever that Donald Trump is the most incompetent, dangerous president in our country's history. Which of his harmful actions and policies do you think have had the biggest impact on voters? (Check all that apply.)

1) Attacking the health care of millions of Americans

2) More than $1 trillion in tax cuts for the super-wealthy

3) Profiting off the power of the presidency

4) Family separation policy

5) Muslim travel ban

6) Attacking reproductive rights

7) Pulling out of the Paris climate agreement

8) Fanning the flames of white supremacy

9) Rampant corruption in his administration

So more negative campaigning rather than a real survey.

But at this point I am starting to wonder if this is all Joe has? Talking negative about his opponent in the most 2 dimensional ways possibly?

What messaging do you think would win over undecided voters for Joe Biden? (Check all that apply.)

1) Joe will fight for every American’s right to quality, affordable health care.

2) Joe will take bold, immediate action to combat the climate crisis.

3) Joe has taken on the NRA twice to pass gun safety reform. And he'll do it again as president.

4) Joe will create an economy where everyone has a fair shot to get ahead and no one gets left behind.

5) Joe will restore honor and decency to the White House.

So ok, finally Joe’s campaign starts to talk about their candidate in their campaign pitch.

But with out real substance behind these statements they start to sound a bit like malarkey.

1) Didn't Joe already give us affordable health care? Why does he need another shot at that? Did he fail the first time?

2) Ok bold action on climate change would probably resonate with some of us undecided voters. But its the "immediate" part that sounds off in this statement. Some undecided voters who care about climate change are not already Biden supporters in part because they have reservations about Democrat polices toward climate change. They might think its an important issue just that Dems are going about it wrong. To reach undecided voters on this issue shouldn't Joe be talking about "innovative" rather than "immediate"

3) Again if Joe took on the NRA twice already; why does he need a third shoot? Did he fail the first two times?

4) Ok, this is a good one why don't like a good economy. I'd wonder how he plans to do that; but if I was curious enough I can go find more material.

5) again in a question that is meant to highlight Joe Biden they can't come up with 5 statements that don't involve Donald Trump?

The only way to stop Donald Trump’s dangerous agenda and make progress on the issues that will make a real difference in the lives of working Americans is to take back the White House. On a scale of 1-5, how committed are you to defeating Donald Trump this November?

5 – I'm extremely committed.

4 – I'm very committed.

3 – I'm committed.

2 – I'm a little committed.

1 – I'm not committed.

And again we are back to the negative champaign; how is this supposed to resonate with undecided voters?

Americans across the country are unifying behind Joe Biden, which means Donald Trump is getting the race he feared most – but we don't have a second to waste.

Trump and the RNC have raised more than $675 MILLION so far to power Trump's reelection, which means we're relying on the grassroots power of this team more than ever.

We have to hit every last fundraising goal from here on out if we're going to have the resources we need to get Trump out of the White House – but right now, we're still falling short of the $55,000 we need before midnight. Every bit of support will make a huge difference: Will you give $5 or more now to make sure Joe Biden defeats Donald Trump in November?

Yes, I’ll donate $5.

Yes, I’ll donate $25 (This is what most Biden supporters are giving.)

Yes, and I’ll donate more!

Is it wise to braudcast to undecided voters that you are already worried about loosing a fundraiser battle with your opposition? Planting the seed in there minds that you might be a looser? That doesn't sound effective to me.

The whole point of that "survey" was simply to raise money.

The psychology of it is this.
1. Create fear of his opponent, Donald Trump. (Create a problem)
2. Make you feel part of the process, like you can help shape Joey Two Fingers agenda. (Offer a solution that you can be a part of)
3. Get you to hand over money. (Close the deal)

Basic sales technique.

The negative campaigning is a real turn-off. Don't care which side is doing it ... but, it's all I've seen from the Dims. Must work well on their pawn's weak minds.

So they want to fine tune their message to undecided voters...

Translation....

We want to tell you exactly what we want you to hear. Not that we will ever do what you want.

Maybe if the democrats had a platform other than trump sucks.
All politicians want to do is get elected...only important goal.

I think the bigger questions that may be of concern to you is what did they analyze to determine you were an undecided voter and how did they get your email address.

That’s the problem with the Dems, they have no platform of their own to run on.
They offer no solutions, just excuses.
Anyone that votes Dem really needs to check themselves.

It’s a negatives campaign because Biden has no original ideas, no actual solutions and generally no redeeming characteristics as candidate whatsoever.

Most of the rest of the Democratic lineup had at least something going for them. Ideas they put forward. Usually bad ones but it was something. Biden has nothing.

I liked Tulsi Gabbard myself.

So DanDanDat, nice review, almost too polished, or yep, way to polished

What do you do just out of interest, not complaining, questioning your motives or denying how accurate your review was.
In fact I ask because it was pretty bloody good and pretty bloody accurate, maybe to good and to accurate

If I was to add and I am not really adding because you covered it.
The whole survey was mostly an attack on Trump with little to no policy offered by creepy Joe.
I don’t think propaganda like that will work, I don’t think that there are many undecided in society at this stage

Nice piece

Theory A: this is a fundraiser email disguised as a survey.
(Folks love to be asked their opinion)

Theory B: it’s all about the guns.
Getting you prepped for PrezJoe to end gun ownership in the US in his single term.

How much $ did you send?

I got a letter similar to that from biden awhile ago. I run it through the shredder and mailed it back to them. I haven't heard anything from the since, do you think my reply was to subtle?

I have taken some of the phone surveys, they are nothing other than political propaganda and both parties do this sort of thing. The Democrats are way more into bashing the candidates, the Republican surveys tend to point out policies that people might not agree with. The leftish ones are way more asinine. All of the surveys attempt to steer people into saying what they want them to say and these results are not true, that is why Hillary lost so bad, the surveys inappropriately showed something that was not the true representation of the voters opinion.

You see, there was a known fact, many people like to vote for the winner, so they will look at the polls and believe everyone is voting that way. So falsifying polls is very effective at steering maybe five percent of the population...trouble is everyone is on to this, just like I am mentioning this many others on social media are mentioning it to wake up the people. This only influences the middle, the left is trying to do anything to just get the winning ticket. They are really more concerned about winning than helping people and promoting the people to work together. Now, concervatives by nature are usually family and community orientated, more are respectful of people's personal rights to be different. I would rather live in a conservative country with well thought out liberal policies slowly being integrated than the progressive crap that is being shoved down our throats.

Hey, I used to support the tree huggers, most were very good but some of them were really pushy jerks, some of those pushy jerks were actually getting paid by the companies they were protesting against to destroy equipment and things so public opinion formed against the environmentalists. These plants hurt people's pocketbooks, the public united against the tree huggers not knowing the big companies were actually paying to destroy their own stuff to trick the public. I know this because I once knew a person who did this for companies, he confided in me one day when we were drinking, he said he makes more money infiltrating these groups than he could working for a living. That is happening these days too, nothing has changed. Knowing what I learned over the years, it is hard to judge what is really happening and who is behind what is happening. Don't worry, our government has sponsored things like this too, and they don't want us to know they used to do it quite a bit. It would not surprise me if they are still doing it. Why did I support the tree huggers, I was a guy and there were some nice girls out there when I was young, those girls actually had real nice personalities back then too, not like the women protesting in this protest that have strong opinions and have been brainwashed into backing something that is not right.

When a persons only resume is to attack his opposition he doesn't deserve even thinking about never mind voting for. He should be pitching what he can do for you and your country for a better lifestyle and economy.

A fair shot to get ahead and no one gets left behind sounds an awful lot like bread lines...but one part of socialism brings on more.

It was hardto believe people would vote for Hillary, and even more unbelievable Biden would jump in. But consider all that the democrats have to work with ? Not much, everybody knows that. I see all the polls with Biden trouncing Trump, leading by giant numbers ? Oh really ?

I just don't know what to think anymore, it's a Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad world out there.

Of course the rest of the sane people believe Trump will Landslide in again. Until November, CHAOS, you can thank the liberals and democrats and George Soros
