hot damn, ats really really loving the taste of boot polish hey?

"do exactly what the cops say and if you're old and/or frail you shouldn't leave your house when there's cops about because you'll deserve whatever they do to you" is a pretty galaxy brain take, especially for a site that was full of heated rhetoric about refusing to wear masks a week ago and currently has a trending thread called I WILL NEVER KNEEL.

very fReEdOm of you. very cool.

Yep they go all Rambo about not wearing a mask, no I mean keyboard Rambo, then all hero mode on cops beating up the old dude and apparently he deserved it.

I'm not sure the term useful idiot is even descriptive enough for these numbskulls.

I have noticed a lot of the same people that whine cry and scream about the injustice of what sometimes happens to people wearing Maga hats at rallies are the same ones who are saying the old man got what he deserved for daring to stand and try to talk to police who are paid by the state.

Neither case is right but the police are paid to uphold the law not assault peaceful citizens. Those that attack people for wearing hats are criminals and I say the police who attack peaceful protestors are also criminals. When police step over the line like that they become a gang and shouldn't be protected by the law.

I think the only difference is that he was purposely out after the curfew, they had told him several times to clear out, he then moved to intercept police who told him to move, he refused, he touched the cop and got up in his face.. and he was pushed out of the way... and stumbled back dramatically and hit his head. Hard.
I know this much.. if I had put myself in that position.. Id have known nothing good will come of it. Im not going to stand in the way of those psychos in riot gear and think nothnig is happening. ALso.. he was in an area where all the press was standing there watching and filming.

Ive seen the police harm protesters.. unprovoked and not in their way. THEY should be charged. Ive seen them fire projectiles into a peaceful protest.. THAT should be addressed.

When a white old man sets us a great photo or vid opportunity by placing himself in the position.. why should be expect anything less?? Hell, Ive seen cops go rambo on people that touch them or get too close. They just pushed this guy out of the way and continued on to where they were told to go asap.

This whole thing isnt about virtue signaling progressives provoking situations. Its about REAL police brutality and in custody deaths.

I saw a cut of the video where one cop tried to stop and help the man, and another pushed him away. The cop who told the other one not to help should be brought up on charges.

From what I read the curfew in Buffalow is 8pm. There is no time stamp on the video but it looks way too bright to be after 8PM. I didn't see him touch the cop either.

utter twaddle

thats not how it works in the real world

if you are in the front line - you cannot stop - thats the job of someone else - behind you

You call that the real world?

Man bleeding from his ears, you cannot stop...? Why? Orders? I'd say empathy for human life and caring is the real world.

In the real world if a police officer assaults you, he should be arrested, as he should be held accountable to the same laws that you are held accountable to. You try pushing an old man over infront of 20 police officers, see what happens to you.

If their order was to physically push someone over who they could literally just step around, they should have ignored those orders, because those orders are unlawful.

People seriously seem to not get that the police have to respect the law just like we do.
They are not gods.

Mayor of Buffalo says that the man was an agitator and the cops will not be fired.

The man was obviously frail, it would have been easy to cuff him. Why didn't they? I saw younger and more aggressive men getting cuffed in the same video. In a situation like this, critical thinking may have helped.

A lot of these officers are more like playtime soldiers, getting emotional and firing at people's heads, gassing peaceful protests, and worse. This is the type of reactionary, mindless, "yes sir how high" policing which causes riots started by the police themselves.

So Police have now resorted to beating up nonviolent pensioner protestors looking to have a word???!!!

Totally uncalled for and shameful beyond contempt!

Tell you one thing, see if that was my grandfather or dad, there is not Police force or court of law in the land, that would stop me and mine from tracking down that horrible excuse for a Police officer and knocking seven shades of crap out of him.

I am not defending what happened to the old man at all..

BUT here is a thought how many people saying how the officers should have done X or Y, ever been in a situation where a large number of people are getting out of hand and directing a lot of hate at you?

Once your adrenaline is really amped up its easy to do things you wouldn't normally do, and compared to the combat troops in the military that get a good bit of training to help them funnel that in a constructive way cops get squat for training.

Again not defending what the cops did, but till you have been in that situation you cant really say what they were thinking people are just assuming they were steroid ridden monsters out to hurt people.

He pushed and old'yin to the ground and had claret pouring out the back of his nut ffs!

Adrenaline amped or otherwise, he could have stopped and at least attempted to see if the fellow was still alive, atoned for his actions somewhat.

Takes a complete and utter bastard to simply carry on regardless.

yes the real world

thats how you operate

the front line - has one job - advance and clear

everyone behind - had other jobs

thats called delegation & demarcation - maybee google will help you understand such simple concepts ?

bottom line - is the front formation - has to hold - you cannot break - just cos you want to help someone [ who got themselves into the crap ]

its a matter of unit cohesion and trust - you do your job - and let every one else do thiers

thats it - real world operations

Again not defending what they did, they were also under orders to clear the area and we dont know what they had been through over the course of the day, or the last couple days, or how many threats on their lives or their families lives.

there is more to the story than what is shown in a video, and people are making emotional snap judgements based on an emotional time with so many variables it would take an AI to track them all to get to the real truth.

I cant see the part of the story we are missing that would excuse the officer's actions in any way whatsoever.

When Police assault pensioners to sever injury and endangerment of life, whilst simply peacefully protesting, something is very wrong indeed.

The real truth is that little piggy hurt an old man for kicks, or so it seems, which kind of illustrates the problems people have with the Police in the first place.

Police units operate by beating up pensioners?

Where do "they" teach that tactical response ffs?

Because just like kneeling on people's necks for 8 minutes, they should probably stop doing that.
