I am already organizing a group of local businessmen. Bars, restaurants, smoke shops. Turning out to be a very diverse group with one intention in mind. If people attack their property they are striking back with extreme prejudice .

I'm not defending the rioters.
I'm trying to get those in this thread to realize that there are 2 sides to all this.
Both sides need to be acknowledged and understood.

Portland has a history of coddling the Black Bloc/Antifa mob. This is just more of the same.

These same people were looting, assaulting, and burning hours later.

What you see on those screens will never be the true reality.
You have to get involved and see for yourself if you ever truly wish to know what's going on.
Why are you so afraid to talk to people? because you saw some scary video?

Because it doesn't matter if there are 100 peaceful protestors (and I know there are good people involved in these protests, FWIW). You only need one violent a$$hole to land you in the hospital or morgue, and my life/health are more important to me than that. There is too much documentation of violence. It's also very stupid to be in a crowd where violence could kick off between groups. You could easily get hurt in the crossfire--from either side.

Furthermore, if the mindset is "get on your knees or you're an enemy", f*ck that. I'm getting on my knees to no one. I don't care what political group, race, religion or gender demands it.
