The CCP didn't bar them from working; even the CCP sent their people back to work as soon as they could.

They didn't pussy foot around telling everyone to wait "one more week" after "one more week" before they made definitive leadership decisions. That is an entirely American political approach to crisis... don't make any decisions, don't actually lead ... that way no one can say you did the wrong thing during your next election race cause you didn't actually do anything.

It took a massive act of rioting to finally have legislation introduced to........ hold police to the same standard as everyone else.
