I don't mind repeating: cutting off or controlling people's access to food is Soviet style communism 101. Food, housing, health care. Government, not private control.

Basic communism. It's why they moved all the rural people to the cities in the early 1900s.

Me personally...I would love it if we can finally break out of repeating these same cycles because we've been doing it for eons but it doesn't seem to have gotten us very far. I hope we will change that very soon

That makes zero sense. The constant pounding of rainfall oxygenates the water. Movement of water oxygenates it.

Think aerator in a fish tank. Still water deoxygenates.

Cold water is more oxygenated than warm or hot.

The filth from the runoff kills the Oxygen in water. Plus the sediment will be stirred and that consumes available O2 in the water column.
