Best to not make martyrs out of them. Martyrs, like diamonds, are forever. The situation will have to be dealt with, but far better with arrests out of camera view and then getting those arrested to rat on each other.

Germany had an almost 20 year running campaign against the same sort of renegades -- privileged members of society who turned on their own kind in the name of fomenting a Marxist revolution. We should all understand this won't end in Seattle. It will only be the beginning of years of turmoil. But the quicker it is confronted, the better. Too much time has already been lost.

It's hard to weigh the balance between the residents affected and just letting it play out, to be honest. It's pretty clear that the mayor is enabling this by having the police withdraw to avoid "escalating" the situation (haha). But honestly, from the seat here in the bleachers several hundred miles from Seattle, there's nothing more poignant for Trump to hammer home about where these Trotskyists are taking the country, dragging everyone with them. It's tempting to just sit back and let the local lunatics set the contrast in Seattle, LA, Chicago, NYC, etc

I've lived in Washington state for 52 of my 55 years (those 3 years not in Washington were serving in the Army), most of my life spent just south of Seattle (closer to Tacoma), and one thing that is obvious to us that live here is that the state patrol and the Seattle police department pretty much were forced to essentially stop doing anything about rioters after the 1999 WTO riots. I know the brainless sheep rioters call them "peaceful protests", but when you are destroying the very businesses/lives that you're supposedly supporting due to your cowardly acts of random mob violence - you lose any respect you may have had from those of us who don't feel the need to destroy other people's lives. I would invite anyone to actually look at these "black lives matter" gatherings and see what's going on. You have a lot of people of all races respectfully protesting without violating anyone else's rights, and then you have a mob of mostly white punk @ss kids breaking into and burning down businesses of people who support your cause. You have a bunch of mostly white karens screaming in your face about it... these "events" seem more and more to be a place where overly privileged white jack@sses take over the peaceful protest just to loot and burn... and also to get a gang of skinny idiots with spaghetti sized arms ganging up on innocent passers by and beating them nearly to death. That's the "peaceful protests" that I have seen around here anyway.
Today in Kent (a little south of Seattle) there is going to be another "peaceful march" at around 3:00 local time. I work in Kent and get off around 3:30 and will have to drive on the very street that borders this protest in order to get home. If I can see anything I'll try to record it or take pictures, but I'm not sure this march is having the same publicity as the Seattle ones - so maybe it won't be too bad. I will report when I get home tonight on whether there were any "incidents" to report on or not.

I work, but don't live, in King County (where Seattle is) - but this is a place where the people don't really have much of a voice. Dino Rossi clearly won the 2004 governor race against democrat Christine Gregoire, also won in the recount (or 2), then lost in the final recount - where a bunch of missing ballots were "found", and something like 4000 more votes in King County than registered voters. I forget now the exact details and how it was spun into a democrat win that was blindly accepted by the people.

Washington state has mastered the art of cheating in elections - although we do embarrassingly have our fill of brainwashed sheep that believe in them. At least in Pierce county where I live, we're a little less burdened with blind sheep. But only a little. However, if the lunatics do rise up too violently here, there are plenty of us legal gun owners with firearms training to push them back...
