Rocks. Bottle caps. Anything laying around me.

Guess it depends on what I think i'm up against.

I'm assuming you are not up to speed on modern air rifles...

Nowadays you can shoot .308, .357 or .457 caliber. The velocity can be up to 950 fps, and the energy is up to 500 ft.lb.

There are definitely big game air rifles out there.

As for me, bow and arrow ftw.

I would rely on Skynet for my safety. There are more materials that are not explosive that can be manipulated to explode. Don't forget I've watched some Steven Segal movies.
