Not at that time. It was the Roaring Twenties just a year or two before this. AFTER WW2 the big push to be conservatively dressed was in.
There is an old lecture IIRC called "What you where, when you where when."
I don't know how to find it but the Professor was from Colorado St IIRC.
His thesis was on the people in the 20's were born in the last Century and raised by people who were born rural and often living a hard life. When
the successes of the early 1900's took flight, the people went wild revolting from their parents teachings. Then the generation after them 'revolted'
from the party animal 20's and 30's. It is a predictable cycle.
Businesses can get in front of the next generations trends and find the products that the group will want to use for all their lives if a business
wanted to do so as it is reasonably predictable. I think all the team player video games now that are more and more realistic are going to be an
example we can all see of a generation following something. I followed Star Trek and Star Wars as a youth. But being an Environmentalist now, I was a
member of the Jacques Cousteau Society in my teens before I even decided it would be a double major in Biology and Chemistry and Grad school in
Environmental Chem. I am infected with cleaning the planet from the filth my parents generation was leaving as are many around my age.
I agree a very cool video indeed. It looks like fun too.
