Did Obama reduce it a penny? Not sure your question here since Obama basically doubled the debt from around 10 trillion when he entered office to around 20 trillion when he left office.

Whoa, did I respond in an Obama thread?

My bad, thought this was about conservatives calling out Trump....

“Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?” Nate White, an articulate and witty writer from England wrote the following response:
A few things spring to mind.
Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman.
But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.
Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers.
And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.
There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface.
Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul.
And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that.
He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.
And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead.
There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless – and he kicks them when they are down.
So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:
• Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.
• You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man.
This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss.
After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of #. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum.
God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid.
He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump.
And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?’
If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.

That, is a shockingly accurate description.

Was worth the read.

Well my friend, your taste seem different from mine. Sorry you didn't like her on that roast. I did and enjoyed it very much.
Though I must question your sense of anything if you took enough offence from my assessment of her presentation to take the time to not only counter my opinion but then to be insulting about it as well.

Infrastructure....

Health insurance.....

Debt.......

All three start at the House basically and they are not moving... So what can Trump do? I have talked about ACA that McCain killed, so there was one and it was killed by him. Fat chance anything more will come out of the House unless Trump wins again and the Republican retake the House, and that is very possible.

Declining stature on the world stage......

I don't see it at all, and in fact Trump's hard stance against China is what we needed, had needed for like 20 years. China is the biggest threat, and he has brought that to light....

Trillion dollar tax cut for the rich....

Tax cut for everyone who actually pay taxes, do you know how that works? I got about 6k back above what I normally get. He raised the Child Tax Credit and I finally get that on my kids too.

Education......

He started a 250 million dollar per year never ending fund for black colleges that were basically bankrupt and going to fold... He saved them and will continue to support them. I kind of wonder why Obama didn't do this in his 8 years...

Taking money from the military for a wall.......(Pvt Bonespurs)

I'm a 28 year vet and have zero problems with that as the border is national security and if Congress did their job this would not be needed...he also signed a colossal 738 BILLION dollar defense bill, so if you are suggesting he is taking away from the military I just need to laugh...

How much do we spend on his golf???

Oh about 10% of what Obama spent? BTW he doesn't take a pay check, so how do you know he spends anything at all?

Poor response to a pandemic....

When you Monday morning quarterback a dark horse pandemic, ya it is all a poor response worldwide since they knew nothing in the beginning. Add in the experts have been dead wrong at everyturn it seems...lol

In the end are you just bitching here or do you really see all this as big failures...lol

Nobody faults Trump for that and the actions it caused, to do so would mark you politically incompetent.

They fault Trump for the actions it DID NOT cause, by a politically incompetent president.

That action would be leadership, one Trump is not capable of.

Most knew this since the 80's.
The irony eludes you then since Trump has been consistant since the 80s, but a hyper partisan such as yourself knew that, hmmm?

It is your OPINION that he isn't leader, it is my opinion that he is, oh I love American society 🤗

Trumps leadership style is best in terms when everything runs smoothly.
However,
Trump leadership style/communication sucks when it comes to dealing with a crisis.
His over the top arrogance, and "I know everything else better than anyone else" attitude makes him look like an idiot more times than not.
Trump thinks that he can be a successful head of state by recycling methods that made him a star in reality TV universe.

Biden will raise taxes, rejoin the Paris Accords, start up the Green New Deal, raise minimum wages which will increase unemployment, ease border security, restart Obamacare but make it socialized medicine, put more restrictions on the 2nd Amendment, appeases China.

And that's just off the top of my head.

Raise minimum wages?! What a devil!!!!
All fine and dandy except that A POTUS can't do anything of the above on his own.
Just like Trump couldn't build a wall, drain the swamp, lock up Hillary, bring back jobs etc.

And in these places it is the owners laws that prevail. If the owners agree to government directives, that is their right. If they disagree that is their right as well.

What if a good majority of the big tech companies ban you and censor you? almost like a blackballing effort? would that be against any laws.

Personalty I never liked her she always came off as an Martha vineyard east coast elitist. from her remarks of being a DeadHead straight who never partook but liked the music which I've always found one needed to partake to enjoy their music,to her warped view on evangelism which I can not find her direct quote like it's been scrubbed from the internet.
Which dealt with a forced conversation ideology.

I already pointed out once that Anne Coulter has been off Trump's side since the immigration dispute in the early days.

As soon as Trump offered up the DACA horsetrade to the Democrats, she got mega-upset. It doesn't matter one bit that they didn't take the trade, or that the trade was actually a fair deal had the Democarats taken it. It wasn't the hard line she wanted.

She's disliked him ever since.

I just listed Bidens policies that I was against as a reason not to vote for him.

I'd really like to see more debate on policies and platforms rather than Orange Man Bad.

If there's a better person running for president than Trump, then bring it!

Well, that's really it all in a nutshell.
When the Left is reduced to frothing at the mouth, wailing & gnashing of teeth...and regurgitating, ad nauseum, irate juvenile insults based solely upon primal hatred...Trump Wins.

That kind of irrationality ONLY results when Trump is successfully slaughtering all the socialist's diseased sacred cows...and the Left knows they're helpless to stop it.
