The obvious solution is obvious.

Recall the offending govenors.

That's perfectly within state rights, and no medical degree is needed.

Dont have time to run em all down, but it appears there isn't a dang epidemiologist among the entire group.
Most likely resident M.Ds. voicing their "opinions"

Add : Been through nearly 100 . We have all general practitioners , radiologists , etc. and some I can't even find .....

Denying ignorance.
Why ?
Some folks don't do their own research , so I have to. (and some show up just to blindly agree. You know who you are)

BIG GOVERNMENT LAPDOG.

For loving the Constitution? Yeah, good one.

Shouldn't go around accusing others makes one a HYPOCRITE.

I'm not the one who thinks lifting the lockdowns is being a hack, that's you my little Pomeranian buddy.

Grrrr, yip-yip.

They are hacks.

Because that letter wasn't addressed to Whitmer,or Cuomo or any other (D) govenor.

I so effing sure Democratic governors would 'gladly' do whatever Trump said.

Beating a dead horse.

Dude, chillax.

Pause for one second and go read the OP from start to finish, you won't be disappointed.

The Commerce Clause is being impacted, I think that is a perfect avenue for him to do something productive. I might even say something nice about him at that point.

Thank you for sharing that, as I have been pondering the legalities of executive involvement since the beginning of this shutdown. I would like to think that since the order to shut down came from the executive branch in the first place that an executive order could in turn open it back up in some expedited capacity. But since the authority now resides with that of the state governors, it really makes me wonder what the long game is for the governors who insist on destroying the lives and businesses of their constituents.

I'm really starting to think that some governors/mayors are acting in coordination on behalf of a larger political institution in order to foster a chaotic voting environment for the presidential election, one that makes it much more difficult to curtail election fraud.

I don't like it when a bunch of so called experts get togther and write letters to push political agendas.

Because then it's no longer about the law, science, or medicine.

It's a propanda technique called testimonial.

Hacks who hate shutdowns, unlike you.

Let me know when those knobs get elected President.

Which means he shouldn't bother, right? Maybe that's a page torn from your quitter's handbook, are you attributing your pessimism to El Presidente now?

If Trump came out and said to totally re-open the Country those Governors would open up everything so fast your head would spin.

Then we would hear about every child's sniffles, stubbed toe and anything else the media could come up with and they would all blame it on Trump for opening everything up.

I'm normally for non-interventionist policy but the actions on many governor's, mine included, are in direct contravention to the Commerce Clause in my opinion.

Plus I also feel there are numerous other Constitutional violations impacting additional Amendments. This is a perfect example of what the DoJ should be handling but instead we get a bigger circle jerk and clowns applauding these fascist methods.

My point is people who think they are hacks are themselves tiny little sniveling government lapdogs that should ride around in a purse.

Was that clear enough?

Another (un)intended consequence of the shutdowns is a growing anti-intellectualism across social media platforms, including ATS.

Nearly every thread contains some variation of "experts don't know anything" or implications that people with degrees and professional licences are somehow "the enemy."

www.history.com...

Where have we seen this before?

500 doctors are warning what a handful like Augustus have been warning of here since the beginning. The outcome of continuous isolation is death by a thousand cuts and for a thousand reasons.

I guess we'll know who to blame? (anyone with greater than a High School education)

I'd like 500 second opinions from covid 19 specialists addressed to the offending govenors.

But I'm cheeky like that.

Here is a WSJ article that touches on what you are talking about.
I think the blame goes to the politicians (mostly governors) that are making the shutdown decisions.
The intellectuals can give their advice, but the politicians are the where the buck stops.

Why would I want to change you? There's a place for the bootlickers, it reminds the ones who love freedom what the alternative happens to be.

Are you a doctor or have some degree in some related field ?

Did I hurt your feeling sor some snip?

If so don't give a crap.

Have a problem with what I say and trying to exert some non existent authority over it ?

More proof that the Obama.Care policy was a complete failure and power-play politicians (mostly Democrat) are "in it" for the money and power, not for your well being unless they can bilk enough cash from the system
