Didn't he go to India and work out a deal for five hundred million doses, I seem to remember that was the case.

The Italian Society for Rheumatology studied 65,000 patients on longterm hydroxychloroquine for RA and Lupus.

Only 20 patients tested positive for COVID-19. No ICU, no deaths.

This is a 90% reduction in infection rate compared to the rest of Italy.t.co...

Here is the s tory which includes a link to the study.

So this one is pretty hard to deny. 90% better results than the rest of Italians, and on a very large sample.
None of the 20 who tested positive needed hospitalization.

So with info like this is anybody still going to call Trump crazy for taking HCQ?

Will info like this make the media change their tune?

What was sample size?

Another study based on giving Hydroxychloroquine too late into the illness?

Didn't the Lancet just print a report that showed that if you do get Covid-19 while on this family of drugs it significantly increases the risk of complications such as heart attacks?

Question, if the R’s are so right about everything, why do you guys lie and make up....wait for it....fake news to get your point across so often?

Confirmation bias in order to prove trump right is strong here. Every study that is in favor of hydroxychloroquine seems to be some random WordPress link that you guys would be dogging it's legitimacy if someone were to post contrary to your beliefs. I consider myself an open minded person but I will wait til the majority of doctors and scientists sign off on hydroxychloroquine as a legitimate combatant to covid before I praise trump for taking it as a "preemptive" measure.

Some responses to the Lancet study from various people who actually wasted their time having a closer look at the writing that was already on the wall for that study given the titles the news articles attached to it, and how the media treated it, and what was to be expected as I tried to describe before this study was published and used to limit access to HCQ some more; in other threads about the subject:

Remember, the statistics below show that HCQ + Azithromycin is also highly* effective in an inpatient setting (in the hospital, the responses above don't make that entirely clear, one may get the wrong impression. *: possibly as high as a, or higher than 3000% reduction in fatalities, or 30-fold reduction in death, whichever way you want to put that, comparing fatality rates with the whole of France, but that's including non-hospitalized patients, so if you only compare with hospitalized patients it's likely even more of a reduction):

I'm on team HCQ, in case you haven't noticed.

Trump is not part of my team, he merely called it "promising" on March 19 (when it was already conclusively proven to be highly effective in the period March 9 -17, spefically for SARS-CoV-2, for SARS-CoV-1 it was even earlier, same concepts concerning mechanism of action as CQ, which was even earlier proven to work for SARS-CoV-2), putting it on equal footing with the poisonous highly toxic snake oil Remdesivir, which is intentionally utterly useless in the treatment of Covid-19. It actually makes it worse, like the other forms of "horrible care" (other useless drugs, all the substances in Dr. Ban's HCQ protocol without HCQ, or replacing HCQ with Quercetin or Quinine, as if that's good enough, or will do, no it won't, HCQ is by far more effective, and should be nr.1 choice because of it's easy availability, and easiness to make more). And setting up Fauci to knock it down as 'not proven', 'not sufficient evidence', 'no (gold standard) clinical trial proving efficacy', etc.

The perfect setup, tag-teaming WWE style. 'Oh, it isn't clear yet if HCQ works, let's wait some more and let the problem get worse and the disease spread some more; so we can all make more money or cover our asses for not giving it on time'. And still not giving it, as we do everything to make corona linger on as much as we can get away with wiithout the masses catching on that it's on purpose. Gosh, where did all those demonstrations suddenly come from across the whole world, especially those countries hardest hit by the virus where the most money can be made on various health care services, including medicine and vaccins? And so many people going there without any concern or proper precautions.

Sigh...
