I use an iPhone and it only takes me a few seconds to pull my phone out and pull up the camera app. That being said..I do like the idea of an app for ufos. There could be warnings for folks when someone sees a ufo to alert people to look up.
The iPhone does have an app for UFOs. You just drag and drop whichever UFO you want from the ones available at the top. Then you can also drag and drop a red arrow to point to the UFO before you send the photo.

On my Huawei, I can just click the down volume button twice and the camera starts up even when phone is locked.

I don't know how to do it myself, but I wish someone would invent a UFO app where you could put a little icon on your phone so that if you want to take a picture of something quickly all you do is click it and it would open your camera and automatically set it to the highest possible clear zoom. Maybe it would even start taking videos or stills with having to touch or adjust anything. Just click the app and boom you're taking pictures.
This occurred to me the other day when I saw this balloon-like thing floating by. After a few seconds to figure out that it was unusual (larger than an ordinary party balloon and dark gray with some reflectivity) I tried that experiment to see how long it would take me to whip out my camera and get an image of it. It was only around for 30-40 seconds. The results were not very impressive, even though I have a decent camera with an optical zoom. Here it is after I zoomed and manipulated the speck in the video:
But if I had a "quick draw" app, maybe I could have done a lot better. Maybe there's already an app out there that does it already (I rarely have an original idea). Just a thought.
