So it seems wonder child of the left has made a drastic error.

She may lose the primary because she didn’t get 15 signatures of independent voters, she only got 13. Apparently according to the article linked, it’s a big deal and could cost her the primary.

Fingers crossed.

Ocasio-Cortez stunned by rival’s clever political move

According to the court ruling, Ocasio-Cortez’ campaign failed to produce the 15 signatures needed from independent voters to put her name on the WFP primary ballot. Her campaign flubbed — it only collected 13 total independent voters to sign the petition.

I am not familiar with this states politics but this sounds good to me.

I'd rather she lose for real than by a technicality. I don't think her constituents like her much.

She lost her campaign manager he apparently was the brains behind her operations. She decided she was going to run the show and he decided to move on. He is the reason she won. Without him ahes just not smart enough to have her position.

Well, to be honest...
With some of her other "wisdom's", this seems about right for her.

She doesn't seem to be the brightest bulb in the box.

I don't think much of Cortez,
I believe she's dangerous and an idiot.

That being said, it sure feels like a hollow victory to win because of what amounts to a small clerical error.

Her PR and crisis managers will just start a write-in campaign.

They'll even hand out enough free pencils wrapped in $5 bills to get it done !!!

Winning is winning.

If your opposition is willing to gift it to you, that's on them. You go to win each and every time you go to compete.

It would be far worse if they start to allow incremental movement of the rules to accommodate those that can not win.

It is a little hollow but I think it reinforces why she shouldn't be running in the first place. If you can't get these basic things down I think it is evident she is either incompetent for the job or she didn't care enough about the job to bother getting the requirements completed to be on the primary ballot.

The house and senate arn't working much now, you would think she would have plenty of time to pay attention to these details

I'm certainly no fan of AOC...in fact, I think she's an idiot... but I can't get particularly excited about the prospect of her losing based on a minor technicality.

I don't care how they get rid of that idiot- just get rid of her!
And she can take her socialist agenda with her!

The residents of her district would be stupid to re-elect her anyway after she lost all of those Amazon jobs with her ignorance and big mouth. Their loss was another districts gain. I bet they wish they had those jobs now!

Link works. Tried to forward it to a friend in FB msgr. It was deemed "offensive or abusive or otherwise not allowed".

So, even private messages through FB are censored?

Private messages censored. How about that?

The perfect defeat
Defeated by her own stupidity ignorance and arrogance

It’s perfect
So full of herself and now this, shot herself in her own head

Sadly, I think she will be back

It's not the real screw up. The real one was attacking Amazon without enough re-enforements. If she doesn't do that she has it. Much like Hitler attacking Russia. Should have left it alone but good thing he didn't. I think she looses regardless. She hurt a lot of her people.

I have no doubt she is pretty much clueless.
This situation doesn't do anything but reinforce that belief.
But at the same time, how many people running for office have knowledge of all the little boxes to check in all the government paperwork?
The people that run the campaign and the political party machine should be on top of that sort of thing.
