Lots of credible people said this at the time it was being "investigated" by the FBI in 2016.

...
I also recall that the DNC was warned that their security was inadequate and did nothing.

According to Podesta, the FBI contacted the DNC in September of 2015:

The first quiet warning of the Russian operation came in September 2015, when an agent from the FBI's Washington Field Office notified the Democratic National Committee that Russian hackers had compromised at least one DNC computer. It was the FBI's first direct contact with the DNC: a message left for a low-level computer technician, who did not return the FBI's call.

"They left a phone message at the help desk of the DNC," Podesta said. "They didn't treat it with the kind of seriousness, I think, that it deserved."
...
In November 2015, the FBI called again with even more alarming news: a DNC computer was now transmitting information back to Russia.

Still, DNC executives claim they were not made aware of the threat, leaving the Russians to roam free inside the Democrats' computers for months.

There is no evidence that Seth Rich stole any documents. That is all speculative.
Also, the DNC clearly didn't know about any leaked documents prior to them being available via Guccifer 2.0 or Wikileaks, or wherever. So how could they have known about Seth Rich before then?

There's more evidence that Seth Rich took the emails than there is Russia stole them and leaked them.

yet, the DNC and FBI decided to try and impeach a President over their version.

Have you been completely ignoring the last week of releases by the DOJ showing the FBI and DNC had 0 evidence and lied their assess off?

I'd love to see your and SillyolMe in a debate...

Are you saying if you were running for office and your opponent was massing large stadiums of people (weekly) while you yourself couldn't fill an isle of 7-11 you would not be scared. He hosted the whole episode of SNL, not just an appearance like Bernie or Hillary. The whole thing and got strong ratings from it. He did every talk show, even the ones that hate him now and again, strong ratings.

They were scared alright. Scared !@#$less. He was mocking Obama and Hillary at those events and getting big applause and laughs.

You do realize that on the night Hillary won the popular vote?

Since you dont reside here, let me clue you in; that is not a metric for winning a presidential election.
Sorry you STILL don't undrrstand that.

At the time of the DNC hack, Trump wasn't President. The DNC can't even get a voting app going. Are you sure they could foretell the future and organize and keep secret a conspiracy of so many hundreds of participants for three years?

From the article linked in the OP, Crowdstrike's representative before the House Committee had said that the evidence it had analyzed, circumstantially identified the hackers as Russians.

Other analysts have said the download speed rules out any kind of remote access, meaning the files were copied by someone with physical access to the server.

Please address the elephant in the room: Crowdstrike was being paid by the DNC. They reached the conclusion their employer was paying them to reach.

And without the tax records, we have no idea if those numbers were the truth. He could easily have spent money he never declared.

What reason would Trump have these days, for him withholding his tax records?

Reread the transcript from the op linked article. They never said that they had no evidence. They said the evidence was circumstantial.

You obviously only read the headline, which misrepresented the facts.

Mainstream Media Got it Wrong AGAIN.

From October 2019 - Associated (fake) Press:

AP News - In his now-infamous July phone call with Ukraine’s president, President Donald Trump referred briefly to a long-discredited conspiracy theory that tries to cast doubt on Russia’s role in the 2016 hacking of the Democratic National Committee.

Some Trump backers who circulate unsubstantiated rumors have latched onto some version of the theory to support claims he’s being persecuted by “the deep state,” also known as the federal bureaucracy, as the House of Representatives begins an impeachment inquiry.

The issue arose anew Thursday, when White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said he had “absolutely” heard Trump mention “the corruption that related to the DNC server.”

In broad outline, the theory contends — without evidence, of course — that the DNC hack was a setup based on fabricated computer records and designed to cast blame on Russia. One key figure in this supposed conspiracy: CrowdStrike, a security firm hired by the DNC that detected, stopped and analyzed the hack five months before the 2016 election.

"There are times when we can see data exfiltrated, and we can say conclusively. But in this case it appears it was set up to be exfiltrated, but we just don’t have the evidence that says it actually left."

- From the house transcript.

So the sections quoted in the article were out of context and only talking about particular instances that occurred during the series of hacks. Does that clarify things?
