Counterpart - does it predict covid?

There is a term - that I know someone on ATS knows and I can’t find it on line anywhere... but it is for when a movie or tv show predicts or leaves clues to a major event...

What is that called? And have you seen Tv show Counterpart? The entire other world Other Berlin? is in masks and getting shots tested and decontaminating like crazy... and season 1 is 2017?

I think it's called predictive programming.

Some is probably just coincidental but some seem highly suspicious. IMO.

Can't think of what it's called either but counterpart is a damn good show. Saw seasons 1 and 2 but want to rewatch.

There are some people in Hollywood with good foresight. They can see what is happening and predict what might happen in the coming year or too. It happens more than you may think, lots of predictions are included in movies, but the vast majority of them do not pan out.

Thanks! Maybe that’s it. I seem to remember seeing a 1word term - like a newly created mix of words - here on ATS.

But I could be remembering wrong.

Yes love that word. - it’s like that but about the genre of these movies with hints about our future. I think of Foreshadowing as a character warning the audience within the movie about the movie. But could be about real life to come.

True and with the incredible number of shows coming out of Netflix and the like - I suppose the odds are they will hit actual scenarios on the head with one of them. Let’s hope the entire scenario from this show doesn’t pan out.

Thank you for this! I can’t believe I never heard of it. Will order now. Wow she was ahead of her time with cosmetic surgery, EKGs, zombie genre, advocacy re testing on patients...
