I don't remember the giant cockroach being in the menu when it was first discovered though. Ah well, just like eating Skorpion

Not that different than lobster or even crab, people eat these bottom feeding sea insects all the time.

You wouldn't be saying that if you watched the video and saw the stomach contents of one of those things.

Only because they are so expensive.

If you watched the video before posting you would know that. It features other strange food too.

I was just watching Gordon saying how complex and secret this type of food was. This is pretty funny though.

There was this crustacean they had in Malaysia which looked sort of like that, but it wasn't an isopod. It had antennae like a lobster. They looked like a lobster except without the claws or the forward portion of a lobster's body. It was like the tail only...sort of...kind of hard to describe. They were green like a lobster, and cooked up orange/red, also like a lobster. They were smaller though. I'd go out on the beach in the evening and there would be vendors with stacks of them on their tables. They sold them raw or cooked, which ever you wanted. Never tried one, mostly because I wasn't sure how long they'd been outside of refrigeration or ice. Ice was a rare thing in that part of the world. Hell, just about anything cold was a rarity in that part of the world! (beer, seafood, you name it).
