There was this crustacean they had in Malaysia which looked sort of like that, but it wasn't an isopod. It had antennae like a lobster. They looked
like a lobster except without the claws or the forward portion of a lobster's body. It was like the tail only...sort of...kind of hard to describe.
They were green like a lobster, and cooked up orange/red, also like a lobster. They were smaller though. I'd go out on the beach in the evening and
there would be vendors with stacks of them on their tables. They sold them raw or cooked, which ever you wanted. Never tried one, mostly because I
wasn't sure how long they'd been outside of refrigeration or ice. Ice was a rare thing in that part of the world. Hell, just about anything cold was
a rarity in that part of the world! (beer, seafood, you name it).
