They have been under classification review since they were voted to be released in 2018 and the DNI just finished that review, really hard for Schiff to release them before then.

it's all good now. They are out. They can be read. And it looks like what the left had was lies, and what the right had was truth. I had to separate it like that to point out that the side you have been on was the wrong side. Unless you are into lies.

Why hasn't Schiff been forcibly removed from Congress yet?

Allowing corruption like this with no punishment will lead to vigilante justice.

His assertion: he had incontrovertible evidence that Trump had teamed up with Russia to steal the election

Every single person he interviewed: we have no evidence of any collusion

Calling it "old news" is spun horsecrap. Literally no one told Schiff that Trump and Russia colluded, and he claimed everyone did. There is no wiggle room.

At what point could Trump sue for defamation of character as in you can't just go on national TV and make things up as he did.

Unfortunately, you can “ go on national TV and make things up as he did” if he sticks to he was ensuring national security. And that the concern was not out of malice, but concern for national security.

A public figure is a person, such as a politician, celebrity, social media personality, or business leader, who has a certain social position within a certain scope and a significant influence and so is often widely of concern to the public, can benefit enormously from society, and is closely related to public interests in society.[1]

In the context of defamation actions (libel and slander) as well as invasion of privacy, a public figure cannot succeed in a lawsuit on incorrect harmful statements in the United States unless there is proof that the writer or publisher acted with actual malice by knowing the falsity or by reckless disregard for the truth.[2] The legal burden of proof in defamation actions is thus higher in the case of a public figure than in the case of an ordinary person.

A. because they threatened his son.

B because they are complicit

C. That is conversation was so minuscule with no intent he really didn't see any of it as important in anyway, nor really remembered trivial stuff talked about. There is a difference here between intent and non-intent and he wasn't 100% correct as the FBI had everything already and just wanted to get him on anything in not perfectly matching up to all their information. They should have questioned him on what they had which at the end of the day nothing was really there.

I think this big part is where he said over and over he had incontrovertible evidence and he had nothing. To me that is bigger than just politicians talking crap about each other. He officially heads committees and investigations and so should have access to empirical data the rest of us do not, so to say he has incontrovertible evidence that Trump is whatever I see as over stepping the line to lead to defamation of character in an outright lie with pure intent in what he was trying to do in that lie.

I saw that exchange, and if I had to guess, Gowdy won't have to tell us who they were. I expect that the reporters and other members of the media who were directly in on this fraud are going to be exposed shortly in another document dump soon to be released.

He was covering for Sally Yates yesterday, so I would have to agree.

Wasn't it odd when he decided to leave Congress? I remember thinking what do they have on him?, meaning the Democrats.
But now it seems too coincidental that both him and Paul Ryan leave and go to Fox News.
Even more convenient is how Fox has lurched leftward since then. Makes one wonder about the entire Benghazi investigation. Was he controlled opposition? Was his watchdog act just that? An act?

Ummm...precisely...he’s slime...

Why on earth the sudden decision...right in the middle of all the hoo-Ha...to resign from his leadership position and slink away from congress...

Things that make you go...hmmm...

Let that sink in.

Schiff is looking more and more like a modern day Joe McCarthy every day. Even now, with his witnesses denying any evidence of Russian collusion with the Trump administration, rather than try to extricate himself from this mess, he continues to spout his lies.

The guy seems to have a serious problem. He shouldn't be in Congress, much less have a security clearance, and needs to resign from office.
Except that McCarthy was right and Schiff is not. Schiff oddly enough has not put the blame on the right commie colluders.

Ryan has Soros money on him so it’s not hard to see what he’s up to. Gowdy no, but I do wonder why he turned from the one Potus determined to take genuine care of our country.

Be less emotional, more rational and you would see that (a) Flynn himself admitted he lied

Well, this isn't about Flynn, but since you brought it up.

He did not lie. He made a deal with the devil. He plead guilty to lying as a result of illegal extortion by the persecutors, who said in exchange for his pleading guilty, they would agree not to persecute his son from being persecuted the same they were persecuting him.

It was illegal, because they hid this agreement from the judge, in direct violation of law.

The persecutors are in deep doo-doo.

As for Flynn, he may well have lied, but the underlying issue, that of the phone call with the Russian ambassador, was not a crime and in fact, they had the transcripts of it before they even interviewed Flynn. They were planning to close the case until the higher ups decided to try to nail him on a process crime by laying a perjury trap.

He didn't lie. That is the point. Mis-remembering, or failure to remember every little detail of a call from months prior when pressed for details, is not lying.

What happened - his entering into a plea deal where he 'pleads guilty to lying' in exchange for an agreement that the persecutors would not pursue and ruin [his son's life, does not mean that he lied, it means that he loves his son and fell on a sword for him.

I can't wait for him to get appointed NSA again, and starts cleaning house in earnest.
