For such a campaign to be effective, it must have to have been conveyed to the Chinese people, to ensure they don't speak out.
Why aren't there other countries and news sources corroborating any of this?
What could the Chinese government be getting out of doing such a thing?
What did the Chinese traffic cops have to do with the story?
Surely the Chinese must realize that this sort of thing cannot be hidden for long and that they will be forever condemned by history.
... or, this report has no basis in fact.

The title says it all. Many have read reports how China has done all kinds of bad things with regards to the COVID-19 outbreak but this takes the cake IMO. They are trying to keep anyone from reporting they have COVID-19. To put a little teeth into their directive they will punish those who contract COVID-19 to include family members who report it.
I wish I could claim that this is fake news however with China trying to get everyone back to work and claiming what a great place China is for combating the flu I do not doubt this report.

It's strange how government and everyday citizens speak so horribly of China, but do not advocate terminating our purchasing of Chinese-produced products. We're mad, but not THAT mad, lol.
