From your source..

nearly 100,000 new families applied for the state’s food stamp benefits, CalFresh. Precisely at this moment, the country’s food systems are failing. The breadlines are just the beginning.

Yikes, that article paints a very bleak future, some drastic changes to the way the U.S operates cannot come quick enough, what a disaster.

On topic with so many predictions made he was bound to right eventually.

People are coming to terms that the democrats have caused this ridiculous shutdown and you're not far from finding that out the hard way.

If that’s the case, the ‘people’ should also understand that an exogenous supply shock and exogenous demand shock impacting the economy simultaneously, spells doom for all. Whether you identify as Right or Left, a Keynesian or a follower of Hayek Liberalism, or whatever symbolizes your identity as this isn’t a ‘shutdown’ (assuming the economy) that has any roots in partisan politics. Period. Full stop.

I hope you don’t find out the hard way how those exogenous shocks impact the economy free of some other group to blame.

We aren’t allowed to talk about the poster. I assure you he wasn’t a troll. A little arrogant towards the end, but no troll.

What makes you so sure trump will be re-elected? Even if he was, what makes you think that we wouldn’t endure another 4 years of escalations (even worse than this) from the Democrats?

Doesn’t seem many took it too seriously until early March. I was one of those that didn’t want to believe Something like this could ever happen.

Should have been smart and gotten off the grid like Lumenari, years ago.

I don't take it any more serious than I take other viruses that hit us. We've all had exposure to it since at least last November. When we didn't know what we were dealing with, everything carried on as usual. Once the fearmongering started, people started freaking out in record masses.

Don’t misunderstand what I said bro. I didn’t take the economic collapse possibilities serious enough. I NEVER took this bogus virus seriously. My posting history reflects as such.

If you do a little more research on that particular poster, he claimed the economy was going to crash because of ____ about every 3 months or so.... for years.

Just sayin...

This ^^^

There's a reason he was banned. Most likely trolling.

I mean, we should all take our financial advice from a mechanic who drove a forklift who was an IT professional who also did his day trading based on astrology and had rage issues.

If I wanted to know what he thought about the economy I would just go to Zero Hedge and read for 10 minutes.

edit on 5-5-2020 by Lumenari because: (no reason given)

Lum, really? You... throwing labels? You know very well that I respect the hell out of you.

Diamonds in the rough can be found anywhere. Not saying that’s what this poster was. Just thought I’d bring his brilliant prediction to light.

~sigh~

I read the same prediction on Zero Hedge somewhere around the end of January...

They always have the best financial doom porn there.

Since then they have been banned from Twitter for raising fears about the virus and blaming the Chinese for it, then they have been added to twitter again...

It was already being discussed by much bigger players when the user we are talking about posted it.

He also referenced Zero Hedge in prior posts for years.

I'm not being a bitch about it, I'm just pointing out that the information was out there and being discussed prior to his posts.

~shrug~

Wanna know something funny?

I told all my friends and family that this was going to happen. They didn't believe me.

Now, when it gets brought up I'm an asshole for whatever reason.

That makes a whole lot of sense right?

I tried to warn em. Hey, be prepared. The economy is going to sink, and there's supposedly a new virus outbreak in China. It's going to spread to hear, and there are going to be lockdowns.

Nah, that won't happen. You're just exaggerating. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Then it happens, and a lot of my acquaintances are thinking I'm the a-hole because I was right and they didn't believe me.

Oh and for "that guy".. He tried telling me that I was full of BS once for something I posted that was anecdotal. He wanted proof that just wasn't possible. I didn't ask that anyone believe me. I didn't try to push it as fact. I just mentioned some things about how friends were faring economically wise, and he tried using his "blue-collared-ness" to say I didn't know what I was talking about even though I could obviously tell I had more experience than he did.

I couldn't take him seriously after that. Especially when he started using astrology and stuff.

It's a shame, because I did at one point have respect for him, but he lost it all when he decided to act all high and mighty.

I'm not surprised he's banned. He was full of himself, and couldn't handle it well when people disagreed with him.

Actually, you’re wrong. Did you happen to watch that 7 minute video he posted on astrology??

Well, it aired on October 3rd, 2019. The poster hosted it exactly one month later, November 3rd.

Supposedly, before the official narrative of China had any confirmed cases.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Take the 7 minutes. Sometimes brilliance can be overshadow by arrogance.

Well, I did, but it's been a while. I didn't expect much from it then, and I still don't agree with it now.

It's rather vague, and in my opinion there wasn't anything that astrology said that was eye opening. Many people knew the economy was going to sink. Didn't need astrology for it.

Hell, I first caught wind about a potential coronavirus outbreak months before October. I knew something was going to hapen when there were articles about shady scientists between here, Canada, and China floating about.

I didn't need astrology for that. All I needed was access to information and some common sense.

By the time things started kicking off in January, I had already told my friends and family to get prepared for the economy to take a loss.

Now they're mad they didn't listen to me.

I told people that in April the restrictions would start being loosened. Damn, what started happening at the end of April?

I've made a lot of logical deductions based off what I see and hear. I don't need stars for that.

So, no that doesn't change the fact that the person OP was talking about was a pita, and that I lost respect for him.

So, how am I wrong? Because I don't believe astrology gave him the insight?

He just listened to some random astrologer, and then took what he said and applied it to events that were already being discussed.

That's like hearing that Jimmy on the playground is mad that Billy took his girlfriend, and that Jimmy and Billy never got along and were always talking crap to eachother. Then, I hear people say that there might be a fight. So, as I'm staring at the sky daydreaming and all of a sudden I see a shooting star and my mind snaps back into focus and I think myself, "Well golly. I think there might be a fight in a few days."
