Was this dream about a past life?

I had a really strange dream last night and it happened to be after listening to a guy talk about reincarnation and past lives on Coast to Coast AM.

In this dream I was a father and I was really sad. I also remember being asian. I walked past my daughter and patted her on the head and she says "Daddy are you crying?" but I kept walking and then I saw what must have been the family's dogs. One of them, a german shepard type, winked at me. THe other was some big puffy thing that looked like a sheep and someone was feeding it.

The strange part came after this. I was like sucked into a black hole or something and all of this information just kept pouring into my skull. I remember the feeling of spinning around while this was happening and all sorts of memories and sounds flashed at me. It was all black. One sound I remember was a baby crying.

Whats strange is that I wasn't myself in this dream. I am a 20 year old italian-american male. In this dream I appeared to be a 40 year old asian father of 2. The environment seemed to be similar to this current world so I think if it was a past live it must be some sort of paralell life and maybe one's lives are not in sequential order.

Nope never saw it in a movie. Weird thing is most of my dreams recently have been about my waking life issues and I can usually figure them out, but this one was unlike any other I've had.
