Which the difference between the AR series and the M series will seriously get you killed in a fire fight.

There is no employment difference. Soldiers are not trained to use automatic fire for most tasks outside of purpose-built, belt-fed weapons, the USMC M27 IAR being an exception. It wastes ammo and does nothing for the individual that well-aimed single shots can't. I have no idea what it is you're getting at here, but it isn't rooted in any doctrine or reality of the last couple of decades. It is patent misinformation. Not being aware of this capability on an opponent's weapon isn't going to "get you killed" any more than being shot three times on semi-auto will.

It isn't lost on me that the civilian AR-15 has some internal differences, but their performance is effectively identical outside of the fun switch distinction. Both are 5.56mm. Both have, when referencing military variants, 14.5" barrels and are able to utilize the same rifling twist rates. External accessories are compatible. Ect. ect. The list goes on. There is no magic "criminals run from this" feature on any weapon, anywhere.

You can believe what you want but the truth is going to take care of itself and NON Automatic weapons just look meaner than the Deer rifle and Shotguns. Once your realize this, you will sleep better. It is not so complicated at all. PLUS, we are allowed to live to eat tomorrow and the next day if our lives are in danger, CASE CLOSED.

America isn't for crybaby's or losers who need the Gov to rule them. It is for the brave and those seeking to pursue happiness as long as they can share the peace. Step out of line and find consequences, just like anywhere. People wanting to mass murder others just use tools to do it. The tools are man's will to murder and anything at all to do it.

Automatic fire is for suppressive use and cover, not mowing down people.

Burst fire replaced automatic fire in many places because 2 rounds fired at a much higher rate 1800 rpm instead of 900 will hit almost the same exact spot at short range which usually will defeat most armor worn.

Civilians actually have access to much better and more powerful weapons than infantry, difference is those are chefs and most civilians are just some dckhead with a knife waving it around.

Does anyone know if blasters, rayguns, phasers, and deathrays are banned?

Apparently a storm trooper is too scary for Canada if they have a blaster.
