At the time, the registry collected a fair bit of info..remember the High River flood in Alberta, in 2013. The RCMP went around collecting guns, they should not of known the location of.
Survey: almost 80% of Canadians oppose further gun control

I love Canadians and I hope and pray they vote the bums out who did this like the PM and we will come to their aid if they ask in a heartbeat.
Its a joke here, people THINK they vote.
I knew he was going to be PM years before it happened....all you have to do is read the papers and the BS "polls" they say are real.
As someone already pointed out in this thread, 80% were in favor of this, yet I don't know a single person in favor of this and not a single one of us has been asked.
Years earlier, 70% of Canadians wanted this asshole as PM.
Its bullsnip!!
Americans have the same propaganda, ours and yours just tastes different, but still get us all fat.

Well thank God that their ridiculous registry failed.
So, none of our guns are registered anyway.
They have no clue who has what.
Good Luck with that.
No, restricted weapons are still registered, shotguns, bolt action rifles are not registered..previously they were.
Shotguns, semi-auto, and/or bolt action were not registered. Still aren't. Restricted always have been, yes.
They scrapped the registry for non-restricted before the database was complete.

The only firearms I own actually hug people and then give them a little kiss on the cheek.
Then my guns make a nice hot cup of hot chocolate and actually sings people to sleep while gently stroking their hair.
It's a beautiful thing, really.

The shooter in Canada didn't use any of those weapons banned, the weapon he did use was illegal and he killed a number of people with arson. Arson BTW kills 20x more people in the us every year than rifles of any kind combined.
Second the military doesn't have a term for assualt rifle. It doesn't even have a man portable weapon designed to kill as many people as possible, it would use a nuclear weapons for that. It's largest man portable weapons 30 caliber machine guns are used for suppression to halt enemy movement not kill as many as possible.
Special forces may use a bullet similar to that found in msrs but the lethality comes from years of training and sometimes more than 1 million rounds fired ia highly structured training environment as these rounds are not typically capable of effectively and humanely hinting deer which are often 1/2 the weight of many humans.
Seals are trained to shoot 2 rounds to the head if possible and 2 rounds to the body to disable and enemy and 1 to the Head to kill them.
So in the very best circumstances a super soldier with decades of practice, the best gear, training and 1 million rounds fired may successfully kill a person with at least 2 bullets, probably 3 at close rage.
Police who have more training than average people have a 1 in 10 hit ratio in combat at short range.
Which means that it would take a 30 round magazine to kill 1 person by a trained officer in combat - there are numerous examples where police hit a person with 20+ rounds and they still fought because of shot placement.
Where things go askew is where a gunman enters an area free of guns and is able to kill at leisure.
BTW Canada didn't vote on this gem of globalists doctrine, they should vote to remove vagina who barely won last time.

I would take any Canada wide surveys with a large spoonful of salt. There is such a high level of provincial variance, that the "overall" take can be skewed pretty easily.
There are currently provinces above 70% approval for this (and wanting more), versus another province with less than 50% approval and threats (to the Federal levels) to install their own Chief Firearms Officer to set their own rules...lol.
Give it at least 2 weeks before data with a bit more credibility starts to appear.

Canada Bans 1,500 Types of Assault Weapons
Never trust any government that disarms their own citizens.
I feel bad for the majority of people in Canada that just got punished for not even committing a crime.

Except Canadians aren't allowed to own a gun for defense and if one shot one on their own property in self defense it would be a manslaughter charge in the very least...also, they tried a long time ago to have a registry for all long gun owners but that went away as soon as it began... and so it begins...
