Now it's becoming even clearer why the big city Democrat mayors and governors who shut down first, are ramping up their testing of citizens for Covid-19 at a steady, but not at a breakneck pace.

Look at the guidelines put forth by the White House task force on Re-Opening:

States should have a “downward trajectory” of COVID-19 cases for a 14-day period before reopening, or a downward trajectory of positive tests for the same time period, given flat or increasing testing levels.
More at: www.reuters.com...

If you steadily increase the number of citizens tested, it will be many months before New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and other large urban areas are able to lift their "shelter at home" order, thereby reopening their economy.

New York is doing a "carve out", meaning certain counties (less populated/less important economically) will be re-opened relatively quickly. Illinois is doing the same thing. Increased Covid-19 testing means New York City and Chicago will not see a "14 day decline in number of positive cases" for a long, long time.

The original goal by these governors of sabotaging the U.S. economy, remains active and ongoing.

Totally unwarranted by the very low 0.03% combined Covid-19 and Flu death toll in the United States.

What is YOUR state doing to keep citizens suffering as long as possible?

The governor here in Pennsylvania is doing the same thing.

6,045 cases in AZ. 266 deaths from pre existing medical conditions.

Our governor said a week ago that he’s hesitant to open back up.

Hesitant about a 4/10 of one percent fatality rate....

And this governor is republican. All of them are in on the economy collapse. It’s not just the dem governors.

Here in Georgia, we have Governor Kemp on one side saying open up and Mayor of Atlanta Keisha Bottoms said it's too soon it's unacceptable. Lawsuits being threatened cries of the NAACP for people to stay home. Pretty sure they aren't making everybody go back to work stay home if you want too. To add to the confusion is Trump admonishing Kemp for including salons, tattoo parlors, etc. So one unclear mess and the numbers just don't justify the lockdown here.

Arizona jumped on the bandwagon yesterday:

Arizona updates COVID-19 testing criteria to anyone who may have been exposed

"Today, we issued updated standing orders, expanding the criteria for testing to anyone who thinks they have been exposed to and could be infected with COVID-19," the post reads. "Previously, this order was limited to high-risk individuals and those with specific symptoms."

Sick reality or just too many people living in close quarters, ginormous population?

I don't trust Cuomo as far as I can toss him, but the reality also is the population densities are wildly different. BTW I'm not fond of Wolfe either. Sure they may be stacking the deck to bleed the govt dry, but huge metro's were always looking down the gun on this for years. Concentrating too many assets in too small a space has always been a knife or sword thing.

Maybe JEFF FLAKE and the McCAIN family have "something" on your governor? They're still very influential, and are losing a lot as the swamp is drained. (Illegal $$$ stopped)

But the huge density is also why the death toll per-million of population is still not bad. The media just reads the numbers, and people freak out.

They do the same with the stock market. "Dow down 1,000 points!". 1,000 points isn't a big deal when it's at 26,000 points to begin with. But the "1,000 points" gets a rise out of most people.

"A new antibody study in New York City found that 1 in 5 (21.2%) of residents have already been infected with the coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Thursday.

Let’s do a little math. There are 8.5 million people in New York City, according to this site. That means 1,802,000 residents in New York City have had the virus."

IT’S EVERYWHERE: 21% In NYC Had Coronavirus Up To Six Weeks Ago

If 1.8m allready have it in NYC , lockdown wont do damn thing to help IMO

The whole "testing" thing is a politically motivated Red Herring.

The longer the economic slaughter house continues, the longer it will take for a recovery by a factor of 2x per day.

Everything is reverting back to the bleak Obama days of "no deposit no return" 😷 🤒 🤧 🤕

The projections are based on the severe cases, not the cases that are not severe. All the evidence can only be utilized so far as to the hospitalizations and deaths, not cases of coronavirus. Masks can keep the numbers down, we need to make more businesses to produce masks. The masks needed should not cost more than a buck apiece, they do not need to be hospital grade masks. A simple N95 style mask without the seal can be sold for under a quarter if there is quantities boughten, workplaces can supply the workers with masks without having to raise prices much at all. Some professions may need the better ones for workers but many businesses can incorporate cheaper masks and social distancing. In a factory setting, people are close together in production lines, they would need the dollar masks.

Some properly administered test results are in on the Chloroquinine. It shows a reduction in major deaths and very bad damage in the low dose group, but an increase in the deaths and bad damage by the high dose group. The base group they used as the control was twenty percent bad outcomes, it went down to fifteen and a half percentwith the trio. But was at thirty nine percent with the high dose.

There were three chemicals in the testing, I actually think that the Osiltamiver is not a good choice to be included in the treatments from looking at some tests of tamaflu's use in other countries against this virus. The high continuous dose was discounted before this study as a problem, I wonder why they even bothered testing that high. Usually the best result was five hundred twice a day for the first day then one five hundred a day for six days after that. Also the Z-pac alone should have been used, not the trio, nobody mentioned the trio they used, zinc was supposed to be the best choice to investigate with this CQ and Z-pk combo. No wonder they had bad results with overdosing the patients. That kind of test would never fly here in the USA I hope.

jamanetwork.com...

I did not like their choice of meds and doses they used in desiging the test. The high dose was doomed to fail, I am wondering why anyone who knew about these meds would use that combination? Maybe they had to use the Tamaflu because they were using tamaflu in the control, but tamaflu is not the proper medicine to use with this virus, it is good for most people who have the flu, but it has some powerful negative side effects for about twenty percent of people who use it for in the use in treating the flu. .

Will the USA still have elections if this continues or does the government get some kind of super powers to deal with it and the elections go on hold?

Dr. Fauci wants the number of tests gradually ramped up "in the coming weeks". As pointed out in the Opening Post, this will keep population centers (aka "economic centers") closed longer than the rural areas of a given state.

Fauci's words don't match his unspoken goal: www.politico.com...

Makes one wonder... will they ramp this up with CDC test kits contaminated with COVID-19?

CDC’s failed coronavirus tests were tainted with coronavirus, feds confirm:

arstechnica.com...

As the new coronavirus took root across America, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sent states tainted test kits in early February that were themselves seeded with the virus, federal officials have confirmed.
