Well, they probably could gather them up and quarentine them. The had cops going around church parking lots recording liscence plates with the intention of quarantining them somewhere.

The rest, ya, it is rather socialistic isnt it? But, well count on the danged conservatives to push us so far right we end up in far, far left field again!! And, it's not like some of you guys wouldnt want to throw the single moms out into those fields, and probably any seniors who could crawl along the ground..

You honestly can't see the "funneling" effect your comment implies?

Where's the freedom of choice, self determination, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

Those ideals are not "essential" anymore??

Sounds to me like your just a few steps away from a "Worker's Party" implementation initiative.

Scary stuff.

Of course not - if one is a liberal life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are outmoded and must be thrown out for the good of society. Individuals, who give a whit about them?

There is no life, only existence under lockdown and Democratic Governors, the enforced isolation which all psychology studies show CAUSES mental illness. These never ending constantly extended lockdowns, lead to feeling of learned helplessness, a feeling of worthlessness and CAUSE children to be abused, CAUSE substance abuse and death, CAUSE suicide from enforced isolation. Don't believe me, do your homework then and read about the effects of isolation from good Psychological sources, and you will see I am right. TN even has more people committing suicide than are dying from the virus - but heh. Who cares about mental health, they are alive aren't they? Hmmmmm maybe, but it is not life by any measure except they are breathing and existing.

Liberty, well liberals totally despise the thought of letting people make their own decisions, that goes against all tenets of socialism. Under socialism, the elite rich political class who are better, wiser, and far more capable than the peons are the only ones qualified tell everyone how to live, how to think, how to behave. Right now in Democratic Party run states and you darn well better obey your Democratic Governor slave masters, or else. Liberty pffffft, no liberal in their right mind believes in liberty for the people these days for sure.

Pursuit of happiness, nope that is outlawed too in many Democratic Party run states. Go visit your family, can't you'll die a wretched horrible death. Get together will a few friends at their house, can't you will die a wretched horrible death. Can't be closer than 6 feet to another human outside your prison of isolation, or you WILL die a wretched death. Go out and have fun, you mean go out and get arrested and dragged to jail or fined $500 for sitting parked in your car with the windows rolled up. (I have no problem with 6 ft recommendations or recommending wearing masks BTW, just not jailing someone for sitting on a beach alone with no one else around) The populace in Democratic Party run states darn well better not try and have fun, ZOOM is the best you will be allowed, or else, YOU WILL DIE! Pursuit of happiness, what a bunch of old fashioned ideas to allow peons and slaves to the government to have. Don't you know Queen Whitmer and other Governors know what is best for all of us and we darn well better get used to it.

Pffft, the constitution what a bunch of ..... at least that seems to be the Democratic Party's tacit thinking and what they are telling people with their behavior, backed up with a sycophantic media who are constantly telling us to live in terror huddled in our prisons of isolation - or we are sure to die a wretched horrible death.

Surprising since today less than 1% of the entire population of the US has died from COVID 19. But as the Democrats love to say "never let a good crises go to waste". This is a great time to enact communism, oops, socialism and force those peons back into submission to the all knowing, all wise, all loving Democratic Party way.

Of course, the predictable response to what I wrote will be a rant about how Trump and the rest of us conservatives all want people to die. Maybe, just maybe we want people to live, not exist in hellbound isolation.

Maybe, we don't want the malnutrition and starvation we see coming from just looking at the shelves in groceries that have less food every time we go and will continue to have less and less and less, with every lockdown extension that is enforced with a heavy hand.

Maybe, just maybe we don't like to see children abused, people dying from isolation caused reasons.

But I know "the people are alive", but are they living or just existing in isolation hell? Because less than 1% of the US population has died from the virus.

www.worldometers.info... Less than 48 thousand people in the US have died of the virus, there are 333 million people in the US - do the math yourself.

They should have rounded them all up and quarentined them for 14 days. Or, at least that is what I would have done, unless I was in a bad mood...
If I was in a bad mood, after hearing their.. "we have the right to work" a couple of times, they would all be given a choice spend 30 days in a virus ridden jail or 30 days working for minimum wage harvesting the crops and getting the food to the people.

You are obviously retired, over 70, with pre existing medical conditions...

So people that own businesses, professional athletes, writers, engineers, professors,etc.... everyone that spent their lives building THEIR future; should all give up their life’s work and go work at Walmart?

I work at Costco, I’m fine with that. It is my choice; however what you are insinuating is absolute nonsense, are you by chance from Russia? Like we’re your parents emigrated to England circa 1920s?

This IS America, not WAS........ your opinion cannot be justified.

Oh horror! If you want decent meat, you were always spending about that much for it unless you were buying hamburger that was so much fat it was all melting away when it was cooked leaving you with considerably less meat than liquid heart attack.

Just days after hundreds of protesters converged on the state Capitol to oppose Gov. Gavin Newsom’s stay-home order, the California Highway Patrol said it won’t issue permits for further demonstrations on state property anywhere in California.

Good... so maybe people will grow a spine and stop asking permission to exercise their rights.

Permit? We don't need no stinking permit.

My husband spent his life developing his skills as a machinist, became a journeyman machinist. But, he kept his cdl valid and fell back on it often when the economy turned badly. Things would turn around and he'd go back to the machine shop.

They didnt build around it, they built through it.. it's now closed down. Same story for the cemetary..

That started over a decade ago. I thought you were talking about something new.

"The imposing 18-foot fence, built as part of the Secure Fence Act passed in 2006, is made of iron columns. It is situated within the U.S. and near the border that runs along the Rio Grande. The golf course is stuck between the two.

It did exist for more than 50 years but was stuck in what is quite literally a no man's land for nearly a decade before going out of business in 2015.

“The government did what they did — they forced it on everybody,” Lucio said. “In 2009 they actually started building the fence. It hurt our business right away. We slowly started to lose our membership.
"

No part of Trump's wall has been built through a cemetery.

Lol... I must be older than you. I chose my meat according to what find as affordable. I started out refusing to pay more than a couple dollars a pound, and had a decent selection of meat. I'm cursing under my breath as it is when I but the 80/20 hamburg. I still cant bring myself to buy fresh corn on the cob. Somehow it went went from a dollar a dozen to 2/$1 or whatever it is now.
And.... I dont like steak anyways, so there is that.

No.... you sure? Every one else is saying its socialist, or communist... why its... tyrannical!!
Unlike our govt that is running the presses at top speed so they can pay us more money than some of us can bring home in a month to sit around and get fat... and they'll worry about the food shortage when people are starving?

Have you ever seen how that course is nestled in? Setting a golf course up like this should have been thought about ahead of time. This is just stupid.

The article I posted involved two course, one the wall just left them on the wrong side and not protected. That's the older one. The other one, that they want to build now, will be cutting through it.
And I dont believe I said the cemetary had the wall built through it. Or if I did, I misspoke. I first brought it up one page one. The wall blocked the family off from it.

So, are you saying the rights of the stupid dont need to be protected? Can I bring up the lady that was sitting in her car whining about her right to poison herself with hair dye while showing off her grey roots?

No, there's something I read somewhere that keeps them from denying free speech and assembly...I just can't put my finger on it...🙄

That doesn't answer my question, as my question was about the permits.

Grocery stores are one of the only places you can still go without having to stand 6' behind someone, and they've stayed fairly stocked. I feel like you're pushing a false agenda because Trump said no more illegals and the left flailed and said crops wouldn't be picked now.

Every store I've gone to in the last couple of weeks has these stupid arrows (and one way(!) aisles), and marks for 'maintaining social distancing'. Every time I go anywhere, I have to force myself not to intentionally flaunt them - but only out of respect for the wussies that have fallen for the fear-mongering, not respect for those who made these stupid rules or painted the arrows.

That restraint ends, though, the day someone tells me I have to put on a mask. Sorry, not doing that, and I'm not allowing you to refuse to serve me because I'm not wearing a mask, either.

What? No farmers' market? The Amish still sell it for about 12 ears to few bucks tops, less than five last time I went.

I'm somehow not surprised your husband done all he could to get out of the house.

Wow.
