Think back to a little over a year ago... Alexandria Ocassio Cortez was spearheading a pet project. A project which, if accursed by it coming to pass, would fundamentally change the United States and the world as a whole. The eerily named project: The Green New Deal. The proponents of it based their positions on the sketchy voodoo nonsense of the climate change alarmists. They wanted the nation to believe we were all gonna die, and we largely told them to take their alarmism and shove it... and they did, they seem to have shoved it right into the great globalist whore China's eager and fertile womb and out popped Coronavirus. Bred in the Wuhan lab, Coronavirus has served as the perfect vessel for the Green New Deal gang to use to blackmail the country into paying for their baby.

Doubt this? Let's look at the facts.
Green New Deal Looks to significantly reduce air travel

Totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere, build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary, create affordable public transit available to all, with goal to replace every combustion-engine vehicle”

See many commuter planes in the skies these days? How many of the air carriers will even survive this crap?

Green New Deal calls for Universal Basic Income

In the short and medium term, full employment seems actually quite unrealistic, unless the state forces people to work in jobs they don’t want. Instead, a Green New Deal should prioritise the introduction of a universal basic income to give people the freedom to refuse poorly paid work with bad working conditions.

...or paid to sit in their homes cowering while their government orders their employer to close their doors in the name of Coronavirus... To get a plurality of Americans to vote for and accept UBI it was going to take a catastrophe. How effing convenient that the NGD and their whore gave us that catastrophe.

Green New Deal greatly reduces livestock production

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s proposal for a low-carbon economy would require a major reduction in livestock production.

Right on cue...
Beef industry loses $13.6 Billion due to Coronavirus

A study of cattle industry losses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic estimates total damages of 13.6 billion dollars as of early April.

Green New Deal seeks to end fossil fuel industry
Oil was, at one point today, at MINUS $37 a barrel... Coronavirus has done it's job for damn sure to cripple the oil and gas sectors here and abroad.

China has already openly flaunted their Green New Deal piece of the month

The Chinese leadership have achieved nearly miraculous environmental goals in just a few years, while maintaining economic growth of over 6% in 2019, while the U.S. struggled to achieve 2.1%, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. As Dean Baker, senior economist at the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington, D.C. wrote, “Rather than spending so much effort worrying about what China is taking from us, we should be thinking about what we can get from China.”

The ways in which China is leading the green revolution are many. China has become the world manufacturing leader of electric cars. It has invested heavily in a national fleet of electric buses for public transportation. The People’s Republic has the highest afforestation rate of any country or region in the world. It leads in the research, development and manufacture of renewable energy sources and is the world’s top electricity producer from renewable energy sources, with over double the generation of the second-ranking country, the U.S.

As a follow-up to decades of progress on environmental concerns, this past October, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China adopted a policy framework to “promote highly efficient utilization of resources, improve institutions for ecological restoration and conservation, and strengthen the accountability system.” This framework is meant to expand China’s two-pronged approach to clean up its environment, including the strict regulation of pollutant discharges and cleaning up existing pollutants.

foreignpolicy.com...

All moments of political and economic transformation look impossible until they happen. That does not make them inevitable, but it does mean strategy is paramount, as the authors recognize. Rather than putting the onus on individuals to change their personal habits to slow climate change and then blaming them when they fail, the authors know that scapegoating the poor and underresourced leads only to backlash of the kind seen in the yellow vest movement in France. Conditions need to be created first where people have the access to services that allow them to lead greener lives.

Only half the story was told above... There are two ways the Green New Deal could be ramrodded through. One is as above, giving people the conditions needed to provide them a better life if they change is one way... making their life so horrible that they're essentially forced to accept the change is the other. I'd argue they did what they have done many times in the past and made matters bad enough that the majority will ultimately accept this fresh new hell because it isn't as hellish as the new normal this manufactured, flexing influenza fueled hell has become.

I have no doubt that the leftist element within our country will do everything they can to make this Covid crisis as painful as they can.

They will hurt as many small businesses as they can.

They will work to make as many unemployed as they can.

So you’re suggesting that the Green New Deal was actually a secret pact made with China to put a virus out there that would kill tens of thousands of people worldwide? OMG. No. That is some serious tin foil hat stuff there Captain America. I’ve heard some crazy stuff about COVID-19, but this takes the cake.

You’re connecting the wrong dots here. There is no such conspiracy. But you’ll certainly get a gazillion flags and stars from those who hang on your every word. You’ll get none from me though.

As a matter of fact, I'm betting that the left is harming hospitals and the crude oil market to the extent that they will step in and nationalize the oil industry and healthcare system.

Well, since swelling their voter base via illegal immigration isn't working out well, what other choice do they have but make a WHOLE lot of people that are entirely dependent on the government?

You have to admit...

Democrats are exceedingly good at keeping in power.

By Any Means Necessary.

They're willing to sacrifice the livelihoods of millions just to stay in power.

And people actually cheer for them.

Alas Babylon. . . . . .

AOC celebrates oil crash in now-deleted tweet: 'You absolutely love to see it'

the dangers of power !!

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., tweeted -- then quickly deleted -- a celebration of the news that U.S. equity markets crashed on Monday, with oil prices turning negative for the first time in history.

The resulting social media flareup highlighted the unprecedented stakes of the current economic crisis heading into the 2020 presidential election, and underscored Republican complaints that their rivals were looking for ways to use the moment for political gain.

"You absolutely love to see it," Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described "democratic socialist," wrote on Twitter. She was responding to a post which stated: "Oil prices now at 'negative values,' meaning oil producers have to pay people to take it off their hands and store it because when demand plunges (like now), that is less expensive for them than building more storage and/or shutting wells down."

I don't hang on every word. I think the stars and flags have a lot to do with well written posts using lots of good sources. I usually star and flag things that clearly took some work. It's a matter of respecting effort.

On the topic, I think your conflating two very different things. The main point isn't that China neccesarily planned this with extremist leftists. The point is that they are more than happy to use it as a way to forward their agenda. The inexcusable hold up on passing aid bills kicked off with Green New Steal funding being in the mix. It's not a time to push long term agendas into emergency bills. It's horrendous. Inflicting greater strain on your country because you fail to gain support for your projects is unacceptable.

The Green New Deal... Coronavirus' Baby Daddy

Meanwhile the nations 'roads' are weathering and decaying.

The Gas tax that use to pay for their upkeep is all but nihl.

People have no $$ to play the lotto that also pays for it.

Winter is coming and heating oil and natural gas is gonna be hard to come by.

Then natural gas generators homes use to keep the lights on won't be running either. Even with their 'free' solar power.

That's not to mention the by products made from oil that millions of people here and around the world use everyday.

AS usual Cortez is an idiot.

I've already thought it possible that democrats worked with China on coronavirus.

First, release it.
Second, cry foul over any attempt to keep it away from America.
Third, push fear as fast and as hard as you can.
Fourth, blame the president for not doing enough.
Fifth, crash the economy.
Sixth, blame the president.
Seventh, pretend you're the party that can fix it.

Easy to do once you've taken over almost every news station on television and cover up what you want to cover up, twist what you want to twist, and report what you want to report. The only well known news station that stands against the propaganda is the only news station they bash and call fake.

The people cheering for this are idiots. When they think about crude oil, all they think about is gas powered cars and oil rigs. They don't know any better because they don't have anyone to teach them. It's like the blind leading the blind in their world.

to Xuenchen for posting what AOC transmitted regarding the oil pandemic. But there's something about a visual here so I'm sharing:

Gotta love her......NOT.

On topic, baby daddy....hmmm. Maybe 'adopted' baby daddy.

At least the virus will probably go away someday. The green deal taxes would have never gone away. And they would have used the money to under mine our sovereignty and freedoms.

Watch out for the forced contaminated vaccination 666 plans.

Not the only thing.

All that money they want to spend on infrastructure ?

Big machines take a snip load of it to build snip.

AOC apparently believes that reality can be legislated. Insanity. She wants everyone to stop using fossil fuels. GREAT! Just make a law! Climate change is killing us. GREAT! Make a law to fund more useless studies! weeeeee! Feelgoods for everybody!

When there is someday (should humanity survive that critical not-blow-ourselves-up-thang) a viable replacement for oil and coal that is as cheap to refine and use, it will be so. Until then, any cray-cray legislation like this would kill supply, finance, health care, construction, the very fabric of everyone's lives everywhere. It is one thing for individuals to buy and install wind generators and solar panels, and eventually break even with their investment, but it's not viable in any way for the world. Solar, wind, sea, geothermal, even nuclear power, it all helps. All alternative energies combined cannot replace oil, coal, gas, etc.

I personally want legislation to make AOC more intelligent. I really think this is one worth voting on, folks. I also want legislation that transforms Pelosi into a green alpaca. I think that's enough work for one day. GO!

There is no more holistic political or procedural approach permissible in American politics anymore. That was not only allowed, but embraced for decades in this country. It took a serious hit when FDR was in power, but for the most part we'd gone back to celebrating the practice of permitting the natural order of pragmatic governing to rule the nation up to somewhere mid-GWB's presidency. The Great Recession hit and all of the nation's politicians frollicked in their town squares and concert halls, celebrating the death of holistic government in favor of a fragmented, mutilation of government in which there is no mind paid whatsoever to ingravescent damage done to the body as a whole, so long as the intended solution of the initial problem can be claimed to have "fixed" the original issue. Collateral damage, including problems that are tertiary to the initial problem and were made considerably worse by the initial problem's enacted "solution" are simply viewed as more concerns to address through the same ham-fisted process and procedural asshattery that exacerbated those tertiary problems in the first place.

The result of this is easily seen around this country, but confusingly is viewed by citizens in a manner just as ridiculously fractured as the process that lead to those results actually was. The 2008 bail outs... half the country celebrated them, half despised them, nobody outside of the high level investor class and the political sector benefited one goddamn bit from them. Obamacare... initially pushed to address the 41 million Americans who were uninsured or underinsured. We are now all paying multiples of what we were prior to Obamacare, for less benefits in the case of the 85% of Americans who were insured before, and we still have around 20 million Americans who aren't insured. The Green New Deal proponents have openly stated the economy doesn't matter, prosperity doesn't matter, the window is closing for the opportunity they needed to ramrod their goals through... for what purpose, though? Climate change is happening same as it always has happened, the idea that mankind is responsible for it is contentious and unproven... not to mention any who call for it to be tested are insulted and mocked (because, apparently the scientific method has also been killed). Yes, there may be some problems with the environment which do need addressing, but by and large any solution that leads to reduced quality of life should rightfully be removed from the table immediately. Imagine going to a doctor's office for removal of an unsightly yet benign mole on your brow and the doctor says "Well, we can remove this mole, but we will also need to remove your testicles and your left foot just because." Now look at Climate change "we can meet the arbitrarily and unscientifically established emission limits, but to do so everyone will need to cease using their cars, anyone with a job in an industry that produces emissions will be laid off, and you all will need to move to tiny ass houses that are about as spacious as a primitive hut."

But, again, our politicians can't be expected to actually work out reasonable and well measured solutions because there's less job security in actually solving problems with the intention being to not generate new crisis than there is in pushing "solutions" that are like Hydra, cut off one problem's head, two more take it's place.
