I want to thank the Academy for this very humble honor, being 3rd place has always been a lifelong dream of mine, coming in first has always been a drag, glad someone else won first place, I ran out of room on that shelf...

It means the two non-writers that placed higher then you in this contest are no longer your competition in the next contest.

Because they have a Writer tag now.

So you need to enter the next contest.
