There are lots of bad things in America. Unfortunately a great deal of it, including the current corona strain, were made in China.

the fervor with which so many posters here seem to genuinely believe that America is the world police and has some sort of divine right to call all the shots and have everything its own way is breathtaking.

Also breathtaking is how blatantly and transparently you're all being manipulated and set up for a war with china and how hungrily you're all eating that up.

The Chinese government is not a good thing for their people. I think they should get better management. But remember, China has lots of people and they need to get along. Just think of the chaos that would erupt over there if they were allowed the rights Americans have. It is too big for socialism too. I have nothing against Communism, but their government is just a little too overpowering. I doubt if Capitalism would work well there, you do not need that many spoiled polarized people over there, it would be chaos all the time.

They just need modification of their system, but I have no solutions, their population is high.

China is a mess but even I admit America hand crafted that mess. The Yangtze had to be cleaned. Trash and rotten junk boats had to be removed before any trading could even be considered. America facilitated that cleanup then commenced using the Chinese as slave labor which caused industries to gradually shutdown in the US. The Chinese government today are nothing more than slave owners much like the south use to be but with nuclear weapons, a massive standing army and naval fleet. Impossible to stop at this point. The slaves would have to revolt which we all know ain't gonna happen.

And China's biggest threat to their regime was when they took back Hong Kong and infused capitalistic desires into the rest of the nation.

I would also not compare other nations rights with the US. We have a cultural issue, not some inherent issue with capitalism or liberties.

Chinese communism will fall..hopefully within my lifetime.

Hong Kong is not nearly as populated as China. What is their population, maybe ten million tops? What is the population of China....maybe one and a third billion people? Do you understand the difference there?

I wish the US was not the world police. I wish people would police themselves. China made their bed on this and has earned every criticism coming their way.

But I do agree that both countries seem to be spoiling for a fight with inflammatory comments, and that's dangerous. Perhaps with such a major disruption of the world economy it is inevitable. But very dangerous regardless.

And `made in China`? What the hell is that? It's a disease for gods sake, it wasn't constructed from Lego and these viruses have existed much longer than you or I, and will be around for even longer afterward

Comparing it to some really bad dictators....it is a little bit.

China is it's own country. They have their own policies and government. remember, if they had capitalism, we here in America would be paying high prices for everything or the people in South America would be way more suppressed to force them to supply stuff for us.

Look at the whole picture, consider everything world wide before making judgements on others. I understand why they must be stern, but think they have gone overboard, they do not want it to get like here in America.
