My wife is in banking.
She came home yesterday and said that there was a lot of deposits pending for Wednesday.
I don't believe I'll be seeing a check myself.
Not really sure.

My mother in law wants to buy a lawn mower...

Have you got yours?
What will you do with it?

Got ours this morning.

Gotta get a care package setup for Augustus, poor sap can't do much being in military lockdown, trying to get through the fences was bad, neighbor was caught and taken away.
Socialist overloards retaliated by moving our curfew to 9PM strict and no "seconds" at the food lines!
Ever since our rights were destroyed, quarantined and numbered in a social credit system and all πŸ™„

Seriously though, it came in this AM, we just rolled over and went back to sleep.

Use it for a tongue scrubber to get all the grime from the government's boot off your tongue.

Probably won't see our for a while, since somehow are tax guy has managed to lose our bank info for direct deposit for the last 2 years?

As for what we are doing with it? Sitting on it. Keeping it tucked away.

They are going to want it back eventually, in one form or another. Thankfully I'm still working, and will be alright.

They are out of work.

Sure, send it, I'll give it to the local foodbank.

And it's 'gantlet' or 'gauntlet'. On second thought maybe I'll buy you a dictionary.

wife got a deposit from the fed for 2500, assuming that's supposed to be it but if we read the papers right they missed about 450 since we have a 2 year old.

*shrugs* either way it will go to repairs on the house instead of credit card payments, blasted leaky pipes.

I'm retired. My income hasn't changed. Stock dividends are down but I'm not worried because I've watched that portfolio do gymnastics for the past three years.
I don't think I'm getting a check actually.

Haven't gotten mine. Not sure I will get it. If I do, I'm using it to get my drivers license back and heading to Nevada to pick up my 1973 Superior 2200 motorhome which I plan on living in until I raise enough money to open my therapy farm sanctuary.

I haven't had a license in 15 years since I got a DWI. NYS is probably going to make me pay 800.00 to get my license though, because of it. I'm going to have to go back to #ing stripping 'at my age' to make this all happen. Don't want to, but I have to.

Have you been furloughed by an employer or are you self employed?

If you have been furloughed, then payments will be made to your employer at the end of April.

If you are self employed, then it will be June at the earliest that any payments will be made. This will also depend on whether you have submitted your annual tax return. If you haven’t then you have until 23rd April to do so, otherwise zilch will be paid, according to an article I read today.

I'm not sure that I'll get a check but if I do, I am going to sink it into some remodeling projects I've got going and just can't seem to finish. I'm remodeling my sister's bedroom to give her an extra window (fire escape) and a reading alcove, adding a closet and so on. Also, pretty much rebuilding the decks out back. "This guy" that I bought the house from watched one too many DIY shows I think...

My work has not been much affected by the virus, been busier than usual lately. Some friends/family are struggling though and I'd like to help them out a bit, they likely won't want to accept any help so I may have to play secret Santa, which is fun.

Yeah that's an odd amount huh?
It's 2400 per couple and 500 per child under 16.
The math doesn't work out.
