Hahaha. Yeah he did sell out again. So is the movement over? I know so many people that supported him. The odd thing his he is not going to try and fight the establishment that screwed him over TWICE!

Maybe if Bernie continued the fight he could leave a legacy for the Waitress to continue.

Woodrow Wilson was the worst president. Why do people do that? It;s like look at the history of all the past presidents before saying He is the worst! And Trump may not even be done yet. So maybe don;t judge a cookie before its out of the oven. (I gotta get out of this quarantine that sounds like something my Mother would say.) haha

I was a Bernie contributor last election.

I went with Tulsi this year up until she voted 'present' for impeachment, effectively disenfranchising her constituents in Hawaii for the sake of her campaign. I concluded she was not ready to make the hard decisions that a leader must make.

I gave to Bernie's campaign after leaving Tulsi but did not feel the Bern that I did from 2016.

After Hillary stole the nomination , I voted for Trump out of spite even though Bernie said that it was not the time for a protest vote.

This year I plan to sit out the rest of the election , play with my blackstone griddle , go fishing , and garden.

Feel the Bern? Apparently his campaign did. To the ground.

Looking at it from the outside, the entire US election process seems like a badly scripted propaganda scam-each candidate uses obvious manipulation techniques any cult leader would be proud of.

The uplifting music, the flashing colored lights, the stadiums, the balloons!
They all tell the same lies-they are the only honest, genuine, sincere candidate who are "for the people"-all the other candidates are liars.
They are the only one to look after the minorities, the down trodden, the unemployed, the sick, the veterans.
No one else can "save America!"

How the hell do people fall for it over and over again?

They treat you all with utter contempt behind the curtain, everyone of them are full on narcissistic psychos, they all have their snouts in the trough and could not give a toss about any of the general public ouside their elite circle of vultures and parasites.

And they all, when they fail(as per the script) endorse the candidate that they have previously pretended to be vehemently against.

Bernie is no different to the rest of them.
I know there are plenty of intelligent americans, but holy crap you must have more than your fair share of complete imbeciles-otherwise this scam wouldn't work every 4 years and they would have to come up with some new tricks.

Good grief anyone would think they put something in the food/water to dumb people down and keep them passive or something.

Sorry, that turned into a bit of a rant.

Bernie net worth is at 10 million dollars now dont get me wrong the guys health plan was every one No public health insurance in others words Obama care remix but one thing Bernie is NOT a thief . He would nbe worth a 100 million if he accepted graft . Now considering he started in politics at around 32 years and most jobs mayer and such do accutly pay a decent rate it is no surprise the man coudl be worth 10 million ( including homes and such not 10 million cahs .
now got news for you I am and was LOW class poverty leavel most of my life BUT i am NO fool and Invested what I could in my Children .
My first Born son has a net value OF over Million dollars Yea that only took a total of 80 k to do so if a poor person who has NO sj=kills can Pull that off then 10 million for a person who has skills should be a breeze .
now ovesly when someone drops out tehy put the support they had to the next guy in this case Bindin why would that surprise you ? dout Bernie wants to back Trump lol .
But if it makes you feal batter Trump is president for the next 4 years come JAN no way any one would change that a war time president gets reelected and kid your self NOT we are at war .

Called it from the very start . "Bought Out Bernie" strikes again.
Wonder if part of the Democratic demanded 25,000,000 for the Kennedy Arts Center wound up in the Bern's pocket ?

And Biden is now saying he has some socialist in his DNA, but knowing how Bernie's people are they are going to freak out again and basically stay home screaming it all isn't fair.

Someone needs to tell 'em socialism isn't fair...

Depends on one's definition of thief.
Allegedly ,the Bern is apt to take a bribe every now and then , to fold in a presidential primary

Biden is already offering a participation trophy in telling Sanders he needs him to help him lead... I'm sure all of Bernie's supporters and understand that...

I AGREE! Mt life is so horrible right now, I can hardly take it day to day. The only thing that gets me through the day is 50 dollar cigars and 25 year old scotch. If not for that I would be in a WORLD of hurt...

Of course he is going to endose Biden why the hell would he not. he is definitely superior to trump and bernie knows it. Plus, Bernie is not in it for himself. He knows, that the movement he helped build has at least a chance of advancing through Biden. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I think Biden could surprise and be the vessel to bring change despite Joe's shortcomings.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I am not a Sanders supporter. But, I can't fathom what Sanders may have gained by not endorsing Biden?

IMO, the Democrats biggest potential self-inflicted wound is they repeated their mistake from 2016. Four years ago, the DNC crowned Hillary Clinton as their presidential candidate, and in doing so, they gifted their country the Trump presidency. Biden is undergoing a slow-moving coronation as his party's 2020 presidential nominee. Biden's candidacy might present Trump's reelection bid to him on a platter.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

I like Bernie, but I don't think he really has the balls to stand up to either China or the 1%.

Of course he would endorse Biden. Bernie's movement has fractured the Democratic party into two distinct factions: neoliberal false-left establishment Democrats and the progressives(AKA the true liberals). The progressive movement is largely young and is the future of liberalism in America; if the Democrats don't start shaping the party to their views and beliefs the party will have no future. We've had the two party system for such a long time that it's become difficult to imagine American politics without it, almost seems as if the R and D parties are too big to fail, right? Not the case... the Democratic party is teetering dangerously towards the edge of collapse and ignoring the desires of young, future liberals completely would only ensure the demise of the party.

Bernie Sanders endorsement of Biden is an attempt to unite the left and use his clout and size of his movement to force some progressive concessions out of Biden. Trump's supporters are dedicated die-hards who will 100% without a doubt show up on election day. Only way Biden wins is with the vote of Bernie supporters. The establishment left therefore has no choice but to, at least somewhat, start adopting socialist ideals and try to unite the left. Not doing so would ensure a Biden loss, a loss so significant it could cripple the Democratic Party to the point of no return. But hey, maybe that's what needs to happen. I don't know.

Also, some people seem to believe Bernie Sanders attitude towards corporate America and the ultra-rich are ungenuine and hypocritical because he is a "wealthy" old white man(in the "party of diversity," no less). The man has an estimated net worth of somewhere around $2 Million. That's it. If you think that makes Bernie rich or think $2mil is a lot of money, you haven't been paying attention.
