Looks like China wants to flex it's muscles with overt preparations for military strikes against Taiwan and "any foreign forces" that may came to their aide.

This is what happens when you allow a totalitarian slave labor nation to become the manufacturing capital of the world just so we can save a few bucks.

The world needs to decouple from China as soon as possible.

www.globaltimes.cn...

Song said he expects the PLA to gradually hold larger and more frequent drills, and for the drills to become more targeted and have more deterrence, such as decapitation strikes against secessionist forces and area denial operations against foreign intervention.

The exercises need to let Taiwan secessionists know that the support of foreign forces is useless and also let foreign forces understand that the PLA possesses the ability and determination to solve the Taiwan question, Song said.

In other China news, China's first helicpter carrier catches fire.

Chinese first landing helicopter dock catches fire
defence-blog.com...

The first Chinese Type 075 landing helicopter dock caught fire today while in the dock at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai.

The Type 075 (NATO reporting name Yushen-class landing helicopter assault) is a new generation of Chinese amphibious assault vessel and far larger than similar ships previously constructed for the PLA Navy and very similar to the U.S. Navy’s America Class landing helicopter assault ships.

According to released photos and video on social media, a fire broke out as welders were working during the construction process. A thick plume of black smoke was seen from the well deck.

The world is crazy right now, honestly I'm numb to surprises at this point, but....

Nailed it. China wasn't even really a contender in the 80's. Hell, by many metrics they're still a developing nation. But we sure as hell enabled them in the 90's by making it a "fiduciary responsibility" for corporations to make stockholders money by outsourcing our life blood.

At first it was cheap sh**. But now it's our semi conductors, rare earth materials, vast amounts of our supply chain.

We're feeling the full weight of what it feels like to live in a shell that once was something grander. We had a black swan event with their supply chain being severed, oil dropping like a rock with decreased demand and a trade war, and now the shut down of our own nation.

We are at a moment of reckoning. We either make polar shifts now or the future is gone for younger generations. It may already be to late IMO.

My old home town used to be one of a number of NEW towns over here in the UK that were planned in the 1950's-60's but in most cases never finished, they got them started and then allowed the money to siphon away into corrupt local official's bank account's as the political will of the country changed by which party was in charge at the time.

These NEW town's were built with huge industrial estates, ready made factory units and support from big industry players over here, then the emphasis for these company's became moving there job's abroad, this further nailed the coffin in the NEW Town project that was original intended to create many new city's in the UK and turn it into an engineering and production capital of Europe.

Political will that was aimed at only helping the richest minority stay rich, keeping the outdated class system and even recreating it AND the new emphasis on moving company's to Asia and yes to China most of all conspired to rape our nation - and your's and indeed many other's of there industrial legacy, of there production industry's, there engineering expertise - when the job's were gone the engineering sector collapsed and the greatest engineering and most inventive engineering nation in the world became an engineering backwater.

So blame the politician's first and the company's second, when you usher in unregulated capitalism this is the result since you make the bankers the rulers over your nation and we have by our time seen just how bad that can go.

REGULATED capitalism is fine - allows you to protect your economy, to provide economic stimulus to company's during down turn's and subsidy's to vital sectors of the economy but the greed is good deregulation mindset that have led us down this merry road to the slaughter house and indeed the world deregulation is a dirty word that comes' from dirty (filthy grubby little) minds in my opinion - and in an unregulated capitalist society there is actually no such thing as democracy it is merely an illusion while paid puppets act the part of our leaders and bankers own and rule everything behind the scenes.

I'm not sure I read this the same way.

China certainly has the military capability to solve the "Taiwan problem" and I doubt any Western nations would go to war with China to stop it.

So what's stopping China from doing it?

Because if they did, Western nations would respond economically.

China needs us more than we need them, and they know it.

Not really, in a conventional war they are toast if they come up against the US and they know it.

They sink an American warship under this administration and it is "game over".

It’s inevitable that China will attack Taiwan.

Then we will face WWIII, for sure, as the US is a staunch ally of Taiwan.

I wasn't saying China could defeat the US in a military conflict. Not sure how you got that out of my post.

Yeah just like if we attacked Syria, it would be WW3 because Russia is an ally of Syria.

We attacked Syria and nothing happened.

If China attacked Taiwan, the U.S. would not respond militarily. The reason is the same as Russia did not attack us when we hit Syria. None of the majors powers are going to start a war that would devastate their countries over a minor ally like Syria or Taiwan.

By what measure are we "out of money?" If you're referring to the fact that we have debt, we've had debt pretty much the entire history of our country. So what about all the years we weren't at war? We were "out of money" those years too. Why no wars?

Also, putting Clinton's action against Iraq on that list is hilarious.

Just ask yourself, what incentive would America have to plunge itself into a war that would destroy our country to defend Taiwan?

Look at the Cold War. We were engaged in proxy conflicts with the Soviets all over, yet at every step both us and the Soviets bent over backwards to avoid direct war with each other. Why?

Because both sides knew nobody wins that war, it would be a disaster, even if it didn't turn nuclear.

The same calculus applies today between us and China. Now, war is unpredictable. It's always possible for something that no one intends to escalate into a war to do so because one side miscalculated. But neither us nor China would intentionally start a war with the other. It just wouldn't be in our best interest.

If Corona doesn;t work as the latest plot by Globalists to ensure they retain total power then WWIII will be next on their agenda. I have no doubt they are prepared to completely destroy humanity rather than live in a world they don't control.

At this stage it's probably worth rolling the dice and taking China (the globalists army) out.

I'll have to disagree with you on this one.

As said, Taiwan and the US are staunch allies.

Also consider that Taiwan is a democratically controlled state, a free nation, under direct threat from Communist controlled china.

What would the democratically held nations of the world think when the US, who pushed Democracy and Capitalism around the world, won't come to the aid of a fellow Democratic nation?

Not to mention the high tech trade we do with them, almost topping 100 BILLION last year alone.

Here are some of the trade...

America’s top export goods are oil, gasoline and other fuels, machinery, civilian aircraft and parts, computer chips, autos, scrap iron and steel, machine parts, soybeans, and medical technology. Top export services are intellectual property, transportation, and travel. Top import goods are computers, computer parts, computer chips, cell phones and equipment, screws and other fasteners, unrecorded audio media, auto parts, valued added to returned imports, exercise equipment, and windshield wipers and electric-light parts. Top import services are transportation, travel, and research and development.

If a conflict does occur, it would be America and American alone that will come to Taiwans aid, this Administration has been more receptive of Taiwan then any other Administration, Trump truly is Anti CCP and it shows through willingly helping Taiwan by forging new trade agreements both economically and militarily.

Infact, congressional passages are the works that further benefit them,

Taiwan Allies International Protection and Enhancement Initiative (TAIPEI) Act. The legislation urges the president to support Taipei with arms transfers and official visits and to consult with Congress on strengthening bilateral economic ties. The bill also directs the administration to back Taiwan’s participation in international organizations and to encourage other countries to enhance their ties with what only 14 countries (plus the Vatican) now recognize as the Republic of China (ROC).

I mean, Beijing has been putting money in the back pockets of countries to dismiss Taiwan, but this Administration is looking to punish said countries as a result 😂

Beijing has been pressing hard to flip more of the few countries that still recognize Taipei — both Kiribati and the Solomon Islands flipped last fall. The Trump administration wants to punish such countries

The writing is on the wall, it is of my opinion that the US will support Taiwan in need. This is only possible with a firebrand POTUS that doesn't bend to china and that currently is Trump.

It think it would be game over from both sides. You think you can win a war in a with China. Its a country that can manufacture thousands more drones a day than the US/

In the age of autmotion of warfare its not a war the US wins.

Tell that to the multinationals bowing at the feet of the CCP to make a crash grab with slave labor.

Hell, Walmart and Starbucks are a little worried that the deal to build new outlets in China might fail over this.

Not sure how many people realize it, but to do business in China as a factory or similar you MUST allow a CCP loyalist to occupy your business to keep tabs on you to make sure you aren't doing or saying anything against the CCP.

Look no further than how Blizzard entertainment and the NBA have bowed down to their communist masters in the CCP to keep their cash cow happy.
