If you had to compare Bush and his administration to some famous political or religious figure,
Who would it be? And why?

Do you think that his administration and personality is entirely unique?

Tell us why you think he resembles whoever you chose in your answer. It could anyone in the distant past on up the the present time anywhere in the world.

Nero's a good possibility. Greedy, corrupt, selfish. Used the burning of Rome as political capital just as Bush did 9-11.

Bush is most like Benjamin Harrison (comparison drawn previously on ATS).

Another Presidential son of a previous President (also a one term failure). Republican who expanded government exponentially, drew harsh fire for aggressive foreign policy forever changing our libertarian minded nation, and ridiculed for his own Pet Goat.

The list goes on. He played "front porch" politics too. Acted big for a small man. Had molded himslef as one of the people, even though neither he nor his father obviously were. Also never got past not serving or being a war hero like Dad. Was ridiculed for talking about God all the time, or rather TO God.

And ultimately..... was but a mere forgotten footnote.

Most famous for his technical win by electoral vote, but popular loss. A very hated man. The only difference is he lost the second time when his "Gore" ran again, who most believed rightfully won the first time. Grover Cleveland.

I think he's most like Ronald Reagan, a great man and a liberator of millions.

Well in Canada, we had a prime minister who if he were as powerful as Bush, would be his equivalent in the strictest sense of the word; intelligence.

His name is Joe Who.

Yes, Bush and Reagan are hated about equally by the left. Liberals hate great leaders.

He hopes to be compared with the likes of Reagan. That is an extremely high undertaking. He could just as likely be compared with Clinton if he decides to sell presidential pardons and nuclear secrets

So the liberated Afghani's and Iraqi's have only themselves to thank for being liberated?

Just a bit too complicated for you to fathom I suppose. There would be no use explaining it, if you didn't understand the first time.

Think before you react.
