This rant is for the kids..

The kids who are alone being robbed,
Doing bids, at home instead of working jobs,

The kids who didn't graduate, or letter sports,
Who can't congregate even though they wear jorts..

This rant is for the the boys and girls losing youth,
Losing the same experiences that made you, you!,

The lost children who can't solve their parents problems,
Getting abused ,because the same adults can't solve them,
Children locked in with abusive parents,
Top-billing it should be apparent,
I'm sure each kid would trade every slap for a demerit...

The kids who can't blow out cake candles with friends on a birthday,
The same kids who don't make new friends at camp on the firstday,

These kids, children,and young adults,
Who have no peace in the tumult,
But somehow Are expected to bear results..

This rant isn't esoteric it's not occult,
It's just saying I have pity on these young adults..

Hit or miss this isn't a diss.
So the last thing I want you to pass-on,
How do you share a first kiss,

With a mask on..

Sincerely,
~joe

I disagree, I find it funny that the majority of kids (not the ones being abused - which is more than likely a minority) are being forced to spend time with the people that love them and care for them the most.

However, for those that fit your view of childhood - well I agree.

Fair enough friend.

We all have our opinions..

But I really do feel for the kids socialization.

I can't imagine as a youth a weekday night that didn't involve 20 neighborhood kids out riding bmx bikes until the streetlights came on..

Respectfully,
~joe

The music that will come out of this will most likely be lyric heavyintrospective works of art..give these kids a chance..

Either way it will be better than disco...

They are gonna have plenty of time to write.. and little coke...

I thought that was incredibly beautiful and really enjoyed reading it. Much of it hit home for me thinking of my kids who are not out of high school yet.

I also believe there is hope. And it comes from those same kids. There is no time left so its going to have to happen now and they are going to create their own story. Lets hope it is better than ours was.

Thank you for writing that.

From what I'm hearing from friends of my youngest daughter none of her friends care, they don't go out anyway they are too busy on social media and their iphones. The younger ones that I know of seem to be permanently attached to their pc's or xboxes. They just don't seem to mingle like they used to anymore, certainly not that I've seen here in UK

I wouldn't worry about that ....... they have their own ways of socialising through

their own various cyber contraptions!!! They even chose their boy/girl friends

in that way.

Neither can the parents of this generation who have grown up with *i devices *

firmly attached to to their hands.

Mike, it it gives you any hope at all, where I live is still a "Get out of this house, and don't come home until the streetlights come on" kind of neighborhood. Even with the "lockdown" orders, parents are conferring with each other and allowing play time. Even the (hospital) nurse across the street is letting her toddler play with the kids. If that doesn't say something significant about overreactions, I don't know what does.

Not everyone is down with keeping kids inside and on the electronics. That slothery never went over well here to begin with.

My apologies for the delay in my Reply.

I just want to start off by saying.. As a shed lurker I love the anecdotal insights you share in your daily life.

Secondly and more on topic..

I hope this reply finds you and all of yours in good spirits and well..

I don't know what to say.. All I know is from the msm or what I read on the internet..

My only first hand account is that my younger cousin (healthy lifestyle) in 19 days from symptoms, self resolved and said it was the worst "flu" as far as painful breathing and soaring temperature..

I don't know I'm not an alarmist..

But I quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey 10 days ago, I have hyper tension , docs been telling me for years to quit.. now's the time for me I guess..

Anyway may the God of your choice bless you and yours!

Respectfully,
~meathead
