A couple days ago Variety reported on Tiger King’s viewership with early returns suggesting it’s Netflix’s most-widely viewed outside of Stranger Things’ 3rd season.

How cool would it be if president Trump would pardon Joe Exotic?

Imagine the face of the fat lady when she would hear about it.

After watching episode 8, of the interviews, I now believe he should not be pardoned, he is were he should be. If true, the killing of the tigers, and the horse story?

He should rot, right were he is.

And shame on some of those others, for not turning him in earlier.

Should all zoo owners be put to jail because they kill healthy animals, Lions for example are "euthanized" in every major zoo in the world that has "breeding programs".

-And to clarify, i am not talking about backyard zoos, i mean the big ones that ride the conservation and education wave.

Umm, because most of these people appear to be morons, that can barely take care of themselves? I'm not saying Zoo's are perfect, but I would hope there is at least some type of regulation going on?

As far as banning rodeo's and such?
Tigers are not native to the US are they? They eat people.

Bulls and horses, not so much. At least last I knew. I would feel a bit safer if a bull got loose, compared to a tiger. With the bull, I could at least climb a tree.

So, maybe just heavy regulations? And steep fines for non proper care?

Now Neumunster zoo in Germany is creating a list about which animals are going to be fed to some other animal, because Easter did not bring enough money. So these bigger places are operating just like Joe Exotic.

Even in the show they mention that many of the big zoos buy their animals from private "backyard" type breeders. There are a lot more entities that belong in the guilty party than just the crazy individuals that entertain us in this show.

I thought you were joking about that. Seems not. Not sure we need another series on this but whatever.

That is entirely up to the elite,

If they will make the crow disease quarantine protocols last forever, Then we will need at least 5-7 seasons of the new series.

I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes. I have been wanting to watch it, but haven't had time till recently. It was certainly a train wreck, but I couldn't continue watching it. It made me feel gross. As another poster pointed out, Joe seems to have manipulated his husbands massively.... and Antle made me feel like I needed to shower. Carol is just as bad. All around a bunch of scummy people.

My sister in law and her niece went to his harem.... I mean zoo, years ago. That said, they feel gross having been there.

I am kinda bummed, because I was very excited to watch it, but I just can't.

Drug-induced homosexuality is a thing. And Joe stole Ron White’s bit about not being completely straight if you like big wankers versus small wankers when viewing porn — and meth stole Joe’s first husband’s teeth.

Did you at least get to the episode where the second husband blows his head off in front of Joe’s campaign manager? It’s an ancillary piece to the series...exploitation entertainment at its finest

I did not make it that far. However, my sister in law told me about it, and I looked it up. That is so horrific and sad. I can only imagine what a tortured soul he was.

It's good rubbernecking, but man.... it's dark. All of it. It gave me the same feeling I get when I have watched super slasher movies (which have been few) and it is made worse because it's real.

It is real. We watched the entire series that first Friday night of lockdown...I knew it was gonna be a hit but not the series of 2020 (the last dance notwithstanding due to the incredible amount of promotion relative to TK) But hey — Dr Phil made 9 figures exploiting people with real ‘problems’ — the series material is an archetypal reflection of America’s psyche...mine included. C’est la vie

In all honesty, Doc (douche) Antle reminds me too much of someone close to me. So I may have just not been able to deal with that aspect.
Under "normal" circumstances I would have binge watched it, like I do with COPS from time to time.

Ah snap, COPS is/was a guilty pleasure of mine. Those early runs of the show up in Kings County/Seattle where straight up unconstitutional searches and seizures and outright entrapment was their MO, were wildly entertaining. I have no idea how they pulled off — outside their legal argument being something along the lines of educational outreach aka “ride alongs” — without the ACLU gumming things up but that show has a place in the TV Series Hall of Fame (if that exist). At any rate, I didn’t know this until a few years back*, but the production crew for COPS embeds themselves with local a PD for weeks on end and many times that PD is self-selected (e.g. “somebody knows somebody”).

*I asked Michelle, “how in the hell does Nate’s team get featured on COPS a 2nd time?!” Nate was her brother-in-law in the panhandle of Idaho and that place has less people than my zip code, so I got the deets on the production of COPS 🚓
