The USGS reports the earthquake struck near the small mountain town of Stanley. Reports have been flooding into the CBS2 newsroom from all over the northwest.

Viewers have reported it lasted anywhere between 20-30 seconds.

The Boise County Sheriff says it has received reports of large rocks on the highways in the area.

A 4.6 earthquake aftershock at was reported at about 6:27 p.m. in the same area.

"We hope everyone is okay and safe after that earthquake," the Valley County Sheriff said on social media. "We have not received any reports of injury or significant damage."

6.5 earthquake reported near Stanley; earthquake felt all over region

A large earthquake, 6.5, occurred in Idaho with an epicenter near the small mountain town of Stanley. A 4.6 aftershock occurred and was reported at 6:27 p.m.in the same area.

There are reports of large rocks in the middle of highways, so people can probably expect delays, or re-routes around those highways, if there are any.

Hopefully that is the extend of the damage. So far, thankfully, there are no reports of any deaths or injuries.

So whats it mean that this was at 10km at 6.5 and the aftershock was around 4?

Is that a good or bad sign?

Is 10km shallow or normal?

We felt it here big time, and the aftershock........

Was extremely weird, about 30 seconds before the aftershock happened i got an extreme case of vertigo
